“A lovely hotel”
We had a lovely time in this hotel. The staff were polite and very helpful with any request we had and providing information on where to go and how to get there etc. The hotel is a bit small but this did not distract from the service or the enjoyment of our stay. We had a room with the view of the canal which was nice. The rooms were clean and modern, the bathroom was also very nice. There was a fridge in the room which was a plus. I suppose the only downside was not have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. However, the hotel offered afternoon tean/coffee everyday in the lounge from 12noon to 4pm. Breakfast was simple but nice with the usual range from omlettes, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread/ rolls, ham, cheese etc. The location of the hotel was also good, quiet but only 10-15 minutes away from the centre of old town. We had a lovely stay and would like to visit and stay in this hotel again (preferable when the weather is warmer).
“Very pleasant hotel with extremely helpful staff.”
Upon our arrival we were greeted by a most helpful receptionist, who spoke very good English. He spent a good 10 to 15 minutes explaining the best place to park (based on cost & convenience) for the 4 days we were staying. He also told us of the local sights & places to visit and marked them on a map, as well as suggesting the better sequence to do some of the attractions. Every time we returned to the hotel we were greeted in a very friendly way and updated on the weather forecast. And the staff were always ready to answer our questions. The room was very spacious and had plenty of storage space for our clothing. The bathroom was clean & spacious and had an excellent shower. The hotel is situated on a quiet road so passing traffic is minimal, and our room overlooked one of Bruges' many canals which made for a pleasant vista. The hotel also boasts reasonable speed WiFi which made our internet experiences with the laptop a whole lot more bearable. For a continental hotel the breakfast was very good, offering a range of ceareals & fruits, as well as the usual croisants, Danish pastries, cold meats & cheeses, plus scrambled eggs, bacon and baked beans! All in all it was an extremely pleasant 4 days and based on our experience we have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.
“Excellent Service”
Situated on a nice canal, very quiet and peaceful, yet still only 10min walk to the centre. We had a spacious room overlooking the canal and spent some time watching Heron's etc catching fish! The staff were extremely helpful, even changing the parking permit time when needed. Breakfast included a typical hot and cold buffet and was very edible. Overall, if I was visiting Brugge again, I would stay in the same hotel again.
“Nice hotel and location”
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Located along the canaljust a short stroll to the centre of Bruges. Breakfast expensive at 16 euro a person but otherwise great choice.
“pleasant and helpful”
Well maintained, in a quiet location towards the edge of town. This was great for us, because we needed to have parking for our car, and were able to park on the street for no charge (parking disks need to be reset every 4 hours Mon-Sat, but the hotel staff offered to do this for us).You can walk into the heart of town in 10 minutes. Breakfast fine but not splendid, we found the break very good value.
“Location, location”
I think the most important bit about this hotel was the location. The lady at the reception was very welcoming and showed us the important areas to visit and answered our questions with much patience. On request, we got a room with canal view. The hotel was within walking distance of the Markt (about 15 mins). The bus from the train station (no 6) goes past this hotel. Good location, warm staff, clean room.
“Nice hotel”
It was a nice room we stayed in, very big. The staff were friendly and helpful. especially as it was our first time in Bruges. The rooms need to have tea and coffee making facilities in them. The hotel is a little bit out of the way, but not too far away. 15 minutes walk to the main square, but there are a couple of bars within 5 minutes. We had a good time.
“Friendly hotel”
Good service - when we arrived our room wasnt ready so we were given two free breakfasts as compensation. Breakfast is pricey for what it is - can find better things outside in the town. The two problems for us were the terrible smell of drains in our room. The hotel was full so we couldnt change, though I think this might be a Bruge wide problem when its raining. The other thing was the lack of tea and coffee- making in the room. There's free tea and coffee in the lobby between 12-4pm but this doesnt help first thing in the morning , especially if you don't have breakfast. The people are really friendly and helpful though. And the rooms are fairly spacious. They gave us a discount card for museums etc which saved us quite a bit of money over the weekend
“Good value for price”
Not 4 stars class service and facility, but quite satisfactory for the price. Clean and tidy. Not too far from town centre.
“very nice hotel”
small, friendly hotel. Staff were very polite and helpful. About 15mins walk to the main sqaure. Didnt have the breakfast as it was quite expensive. No tea or coffee facilites in room although this was complementary during the day in the lounge downstairs. Large, clean, modern room with large bathroom.
