Great location to explore Bruges

Posted 25-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff.
Cons: A bit more comfort in rooms - glasses, toiletries etc
Location: Behind Markt Square - ideal to explore
Pick this hotel for its location. The rooms are on the small side, but adequate. Staff are friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean.

Cons: Décor in room
Location: Bruges centre so everything touristy
Warm welcome: good check. Good breakfast. Room carpets a bit worn.

Excellent location, no tea/coffee

Posted 09-Apr-2015
This is a newly renovated hotel, fully modern in the heart of old Bruges. Excellent location, helpful staff, smart room - but no tea or coffee facilities in the room, which was disappointing, especially as we had to leave for our morning ferry too early to sample the hotel breakfast. If I return to Bruges I would definitely stay at this hotel again though.

Gesamteindruck: OK

Posted 31-Mar-2015

Quiet hotel in the perfect location

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: Perfect location, clean, nice rooms and very helpful staff
Location: Location is perfect - just steps from the center of town.
We loved our stay at Martin's Brugge. We had a king room and a triple room for our 3 kids - it was perfect so none of them had to share a bed. The location of the hotel could not be better. It is just behind the Belfry in the center of Brugge. The hotel is very quiet, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was terrific. We arrived after 10pm our first night when most restaurants are already closed for dinner. They called around and found us a fabulous restaurant that was still open. Would definitely recommend Martin's Brugge and we would stay here again.

Great location and comfy rooms.

The hotel was very clean and comfy and the staff were incredibly helpful. The location was the best part, just behind the main square.

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in

Posted 20-Mar-2015
Pros: Great modern style hotel, in what was probably an old building. Superb central location.
Cons: Think about customer experience more. e.g. Where do you put your soap when showering, and do I have to plug my phone into a socket in a skirting?
Location: Ideal central location. Close to souvenir shops and attractions.
Martins is centrally located, but not too expensive. Ours was a modern room (166) with plenty of space and excellent bed, etc. However it needed a mirror above the dressing table, not adjacent to the door. Power sockets could have been in better locations, e.g. none by bed, to charge mobiles, etc. But bedhead had light switches built in, so there's no reason why sockets could not have been incorporated too. Bathroom was small but very clean and more than adequate. But the shower curtain needed 30cm removing from its length, otherwise it became an encumbrance, trip hazard and a potential source of embarrassing bathroom flood. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, one of the best I've had in Europe. Plenty of choice - both hot and cold - and all served in a very pleasant breakfast room, overlooking a patio. Biggest gripe, and it probably only applied to room 166, was that the adjacent service room used by the staff probably had a damaged door closer. So in the middle of the night, you'd get a big "wake up" bang, when somebody vacated the room. It happened 3 or 4 times, during our stay.

Short stay in Bruges

Posted 18-Mar-2015
Pros: Staff are always most helpful and happy to help in any way. The room facilities are more than adequate and the breakfast spread is comprehensive.
Location: Plenty of places to explore in Bruges and Flanders in particular.
Have stayed at Martin's Brugge before so knew that we would find a pleasant environment.

Rapport qualité/prix satisfaisant

Posted 12-Mar-2015
