Nice hotel in the city centre

Posted 20-Oct-2014
We stayed in one of three rooms just off the street, it was a perfect base for exploring the city and easy to find - just look and listen for the Belfort. It was lovely at night to fall asleep to the sounds of people in the street and to wake in the morning to the sound of the bells.

Hotel was in an excellent location

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: Close to all sights in Bruges and breakfast was good.Staff friendly at reception
Cons: General look of entrance lobby and reception area Sliding Wardrobe doors in bedroom not closing Horrid smell in bathroom Bedside lamp shades
Location: Great location within walking distance of Bell Tower, museums, canals ,churches etc etc
Clean room but on the last day there was no hot water after breakfast for a shower! There was constant noise coming up from the bar which went on till the early hours on the Saturday night We enjoyed Bruges it is a beautiful town, though but It was quite expensive especially the restaurants and finding suitable food was a bit tricky being a wheat intolerent , vegetarian!

Comfortable hotel right next to the Belfort!

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Friendly reception, comfortable room with shower and toilet in separate rooms. Very good continental buffet breakfast, one of the best I've had. Relatively quiet despite how close it is to the main Markt square. Perfect for a weekend away.

Superb staff, so helpful; very 'yes - no problem'. Lovely room. Super breakfast. Excellent bike hire and retaurant. Brilliant location in a beautiful and friendly town. A most enjoyable stay. Hope to return one day, when the call of the waffels is insuperable.

Great location and breakfast but room not great

Posted 29-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in the hotel annex which was one of three rooms along a corridor leading from the hotel entrance to an outdoor enclosed eating area. The room was sparsely furnished (no pictures on the walls, very plain) and extremely hot and humid. There was only a small window above the door for ventilation and a very small fan to help cool the room. We found it very uncomfortable. However the hotel breakfast (included in the room rate which was very reasonable) was fantastic with an excellent assortment of hot and cold food. There was even a chilled bottle of Champaign! I highly recommend this hotel but do NOT stay in the annex. Get a regular room in the main part of the hotel.

Great location... Decent hotel

Posted 27-Jul-2014
Pros: The location could not have been better
Cons: The bathroom could stand to be updated
Location: Walk out the front door and the Belfry and Markt Square are right in front of you
Upon arrival we checked in to the room to find it had not been cleaned from the night before. Went out to explore and returned to a tidy room. We decided to take a quick afternoon nap but were disturbed by a hotel employee trying to enter the room. Everything else went fine and the receptionists were very helpful to suggest activities upon checkout

old hotel in the city center

Posted 26-Jul-2014
Pros: close to the city center, bells rang all day
Cons: it would be nice to renovate a bathroom, there is very unpleasant smell, and the furniture was old
Location: you should climb the spiral staircase of Belfort
hotel in the center of town, but the town is small, so you can not settle close to the center with better living conditions
