Lovely, pleasant stay

Posted 13-Sep-2014
Pros: It's position.
Cons: I was very happy
Location: All the major attractions are only minutes walk away
This hotel is very well positioned and I would recommend it for your stay in Brugge. The breakfast was plentiful and well presented. The room is well equipped and it was nice to make a cup of tea before bed.

This hotel is a perfect match with this city

Posted 07-Sep-2014
Staying in this hotel felt like we lived in history. The hotel staff are very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with everything. If you look for something modern, Brugges is a wrong city and this hotel is a wrong place. The good news is we went to Brugges for a real sense of history. Thus, this hotel is perfect.

Hotel in middle of Brugges

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Ensure clients are aware of the dates the restaurant is closed.
Location: Brugges is a lovely city to walk around, or take a horse carriage ride around.
Good location, but finding parking was a little confusing. Staff did not speak much English, we do not speak much French or Flemish, so had picked a hotel which had 'we speak your language'. Rooms clean and tidy, perhaps a little cramped. Hotel layout a little quirky.

Great hotel at reasonable price

Posted 24-Jul-2014
We stayed at this hotel one night and were very pleased with it. A great location near all the popular sites. And it has a very nice continental breakfast included. One tip: If you drive, as we did, you can't really park by the hotel because it's in a pedestrian area on a very narrow street. So get very explicit directions on where to park the car--there is public parking only about 3-4 blocks away for just 8.7 Euro ($12) per 24 hours, and that works very well.

Perfect location next to canal and near sights.

Definitely worth paying for a room with canal view. Terrace bar next to canal is great for a beer too.

A Night in Bruges

Posted 12-Jun-2014
Pros: Cleanliness Location Friendly Staff
Cons: Everything fine in my view
Location: Just off the Town Square Ideal for sightseeing Close to Restaurants
A really warm, friendly welcome by knowledgeable staff, the room was spotless, the air conditioning on such a warm night was a pleasant surprise, a great location, I had no issues whatsoever and have no problems with recommending the Hotel Bourgoensch-Hof to anyone.

Amazing view great location.

Posted 07-Jun-2014
Pros: Views , service, location.
Location: all major sight seeing sports very close by.
We were welcomed by the very pleasant staff who had the room ready to our specification and all paperwork in place. The room we were given was perfectly good for facilities but with a 6 star view over the canals. Breakfast was decent continental and again the view from the breakfast room was first class. I would recommend for sight seeing as it is in the prime location.

Poor service

Disappointed with this hotel for a number of reasons, firstly this budget room had a shower that was overlooked from rooms above with a window that had clear glass, my wife refused to use this for obvious reasons!! We had tea and coffee facilities but sadly only 1 each of coffee and a tea bag (very miserly). Breakfast was only available from 8.00am which was not flexible enough given we had to travel to Calais for a crossing. Reception was supposed to be available for checkout from 8.15 but it took 2 attempts to get the reception to attend after 8.30 so I could pay the bill and leave for the crossing - a further delay.
