Lovely central hotel

Posted 02-May-2014
Pros: Everything. Comfy and central.
Location: Very central - close to everything. About a 20 minute walk from the station.
We had a great stay at The Alegria. Good room with a lovely view. Very comfy bed. Just off the Markt so central location which was great for sightseeing. Excellent breakfast too. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in beautiful Bruges.

Great little hotel just a short walk from the main market square. The room we stayed in was well decorated, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely bath in the en-suite too. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. Really more of a B&B. Hotel is right off market square. Hotel is clean, comfortable and great breakfast included.

Charming Little Place Close to All Must-Sees

Posted 02-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
What a gem! Close to everything in old town area. The room for three was great. Good size, very clean, just perfect. The lady who ran the place was efficient. We paid for the parking as well, a private garage, just around the corner. Breakfast was included. Great food both hot and cold food, nice setting, with little garden. I highly recommend this place. - SP

close to all must-see sights but quiet.

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We were in Bruges for one night only so did not need a lounge area or an hotel bar or restaurant . We wanted a comfortable room where we could sit and recuperate after trekking around to see the sights before heading out again for food. [a room with 3 armchairs ,what a find.]The proprietor was very helpful. She let us leave our suitcases till we wanted to pick them up. She also let us check in as soon as the room was ready, rather than having to wait till the stated time. Our room overlooked the garden. The breakfast was good too.

A gem in the heart of Bruges

Posted 09-Dec-2012 on Hotels.com
I stayed in this charming hotel with 2 friends while visiting Bruges for a weekend. The rooms were excellent, very spacious and tastefully decorated with a very good en-suite bathroom. The owner has lived in Bruges all her life and was very helpful with advice on places to see and eat in in the city. Her attention to detail makes this hotel special, the buffet breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs made fresh what ever way you like them. The hotel itself is in an old house on a beautiful, quiet street just near the market square. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced high quality hotel in Bruges; we loved it!

warm welcome and close to the market

We both enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alegria for a birthday weekend. It was our first time to Brugge and the mother of the B&B was warm and very helpful in pointing us toward local attractions when we arrived. The daughter was lovely and nice and made us feel at home. We took up the inclusive breakfast on our final morning, which had a nice selection, top-quality and delicious food. The room was beautifully finished and felt big enough for the both of us, with plenty of storage space, safe, tea/coffee-making, comfortable bed and good-sized bathroom. There were two English-speaking channels on the tv so I missed out on watching the news before heading out each day. The free Wi-fi was a perk, although it did drop in and out quite a bit. Overall it was a lovely place to stay and lived up to what we expected in Brugge. I think we would definitely consider Hotel Alegria if/when we go back to Brugge.
