Great hotel in centre of town

Junior suite was really comfortable. A lovely spacious room! Breakfast had everything you could possibly want. Hotel itself only one block away from the square. Can recommend a stay there!

Very nice hotel in the centre of town

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, decor and staff.
Cons: Car park and wet room
Location: Right in the centre of town so lots of places for food and drink
This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The room was great and the staff very helpful. They provided an extra bed for our 2 yr old and made us feel very welcome. There's only a couple of things to be wary of. If you reserve a space in the car park beware that it can be tricky to get in and out as there's a lift off a narrow side road for both the entrance and exit. If there's a car behind you waiting to get in they need to leave *plenty* of space otherwise the door to the lift won't close and you're left stuck in there like a lemon unable to get out the car wondering why it doesn't move. This happened to me and caused a traffic jam behind with irate drivers as there's no markings or indications where you should be. The French woman insisted it was my fault for not moving forward enough instead of hers not moving back! The other thing is the wet room design which includes the toilet for some daft reason.. Water pooled around the toilet meaning you got wet feet if you wanted to use it anytime afterwards without mopping up with a towel.

Perfect Location

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: The hotel is quiet and relaxed while being top quality, the lounge areas are extremely comfortable, as are the rooms. The historical part of the hotel
Cons: The hot breakfast is okay but the sausages are poor quality. The tea/ coffee in the rooms is sparse ask for more at reception or you will run out.
Location: The hotel is on the edge of the Burg and 3 minutes walk from the Market square, couldn't be better. Explore the old city it is wonderful.
We arrived in the late afternoon and were dealt with quickly and efficiently, once we found our room we settled in very easily, Bruges is the most wonderful city to visit, very romantic and full of history. Good food is expensive, but the market square offers many restaurants at reasonable prices but strangely all have the same menu. Their food is mass produced and bought in so be warned. A tip, ring the hotel direct before booking as it may be cheaper than the sites offer!

Lovely hotel in the centre of historic Brugge

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Spacious comfortable rooms with a very large comfortable bed.
Location: Lots of sight seeing attractions near by all within walking distance e.g brewery tour, the Belfry, canal boat trips, museum of Brugge.
Check in was easy and we were greeted by helpful and pleasant staff. We stayed in a double comfort room which was spacious and comfortable with a very comfortable bed. Hotel lounge area was elegant but modern. The hotel is very close to the historic square and tourist/ sight seeing attractions, however it was quiet in the evenings. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Bruges break

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Varied good breakfast. Comfortable room. Grandness of the original building.
Cons: Nothing specifically other than possibly updating some aspects of the bedroom.
Location: Excellent location. All the major sites are very close at hand - wonderful buildings, churches, museums, chocolate shops and canal side walks.
The original building was grand and classic, the newer building, where our room was, had a much more uniform feel and look but was still very pleasant. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom very good, but the bed cover and furnishing at the back of the bed looked tired and slightly worn - although the bed itself was extremely comfortable. Our room had a canal view but it was quite a limited view, and if you are of only average height it wasn't easy actually seeing the view as the window was quite high and the window sill very thick. Breakfast was very good and varied, but costly if not already included in your room price (as ours was). Parking was also expensive, much cheaper parking is available in Bruges if it isn't essential that your car is immediately available to you.

Wonderful atmospheric hotel very central

Posted 09-Aug-2014
Pros: The décor especially and it's central location
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
Location: Located near the historic centre of Bruges, with views over one of the main canals at the rear. Take a boat ride around the canals to see more
This hotel was very central and boasted fantastic opulent and grand décor. It was spotless and the staff friendly and attentive. Our room was located in the older part of the hotel and had an imposing vaulted beamed roof, with a very large bathroom

Very close too many attractions of Bruges

Posted 02-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, style, facilities and friendly staff
Cons: Free onsite parking would be great, even parking at a cheaper rate would be a benefit
Location: sightseeing and drinking beer, great place to relax and chill out
Wanted to stay somewhere with a bit of style, this place ticked the right boxes.
