The hotel is in a nice location, situated on one of the major canals, slightly outside of the busy center square. Very quiet yet easy walk to all of the sites and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms were simple but clean.

Well.placed in the city.
Most importantly, we cannot fault eveeyone who works in the hotel, they are all friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little tired but it is well placed in the city and the underground parking is ideal. Breakfast was comprehensive and the bar was welcoming with a good selection of drinks. A really pleasant 10-15 minute walk into the centre with somw libely cafes and restaurants on the way.

DISAPPOINTING!
We booked "comfort" rooms thinking they would be more comfortable than just a basic room. The room was supposed to have a mini bar which it didn't. There was a small fridge that didnt keep anything cold. I expected nice toiletries as this is listed as a 4☆ hotel. There was only a combined hair/body wash....No hair conditioner! The hair dryer was attached to the wall and was ancient. There was nowhere near a mirror to plug in my curling brush. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice. Breakfast was good, although very busy and kept running out of different foods.

It's important for guests to have accurate expectations when booking a room, especially when selecting a "comfort" category.It appears that there were some issues with the room amenities and facilities that didn't meet your expectations, like the mini-bar, toiletries and the hair dryer situation. Your feedback about these aspects is helpful for both potential guests and the hotel management to address any areas of improvement, so we're certainly going to address these to the responsible persons. About the toiletries we can tell you that these are no longer in the bathrooms because plastics soon will be forbidden. For the moment we're looking for alternatives.On a positive note, it's good to know that you found the bed and pillows comfortable and that you enjoyed the breakfast, despite the busy atmosphere.Your detailed review will serve as valuable feedback for the hotel and potential guests. Lack of attention to detail + poor staff attitude.
There were multiple minor problems with the room, which apparently could not be fixed until the next day. In a three night stay this is not really acceptable - especially as these issues should have been routinely checked and so sorted fixed prior to our arrival. For example, the bulb in the toilet did not work so made it impossible to use in the dark; the bath plug did not work properly and it was hard to fill the bath as water was running awayas fast as it was coming out of the tap; some of the electrical sockets were very difficult to use - we should not have to get down on hands and knees and force the plug in! Although we had a king-size bed, the duvet was only double size, so was much too small for the bed - why? This really compromised a good night's sleep. The breakfast room toaster did not toast the bread - even after four passes through the machine, the bread was only warm and not really brown! Staff did not seem at all interested in fixing this. However, the biggest issue was the unhelpfulness and unfriendliness of the reception staff who seem to think that guests are a nuisance.

Arrived and told to park is an extra €28, spa was an extra €25. Food was only available at the weekend but they don’t tell you this. Also is €18 for a frozen microwave meal. Staff didn’t listen to requests.

The hotel is 10-15 min walk away from town centre but in a pleasant location by the canal. The front desk are friendly and pleasant. The bar area is ok with some nice beer on tap. Breakfast room is well laid out, with a good food selection. The staff in there were very helpful and always on hand to assist. The hotel offers a limited evening meal in the bar but we always ate out. The rooms are a lottery as there are so many different sizes and layouts. Our room was nicely laid out with only a few minor issues. The air extractor in the bathroom was not working (was not working in our friends room either) and the shower glass screen leaked from the seal onto the floor. The bed was creaky but we still had a good and pleasant sleep each night . May of been all the walking and beer consumption. The room and hotel were very clean.

Nice hotel in quiet and pretty location.
Nice clean hotel within a short easy walk of city centre. Welcome could have been a little warmer but overall pleasant stay and would stay there again and recommend to friends and family.

Our accommodations were lovely! The staff was very helpful and kind. We arrived quite late, the restaurant having just closed, yet allowed us to order dinner. We highly recommend staying here.

The hotel was nice, comfortable and warm. The reception staff were very helpful, especially Matthias who couldn't do enough for us. Food from the bar was not great and no reception staff after 11pm did not help as we had to get friends to collect our room keys because we were arriving later than that. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of a selection.

Clean and tidy friendly staff, Breakfast is good, and waiters are friendly. Make sure to be very cautious when you using stairs next to elevator 2, they are a bit narrow.

Very disappointed
Very disappointed with this hotel and the rooms did not match the images on the website, it was like being in a 90's time warp, it was clean, but the furniture very dated and rust was on the radiators, I considered that this was quite an expensive hotel and was expecting a lot more, I do not recommend this hotel and would think that you could find a much better one, we will not be going back and will look for another different hotel on our next visit. Car parking was 25€ extra which we considered a bit on the expensive side.
