What a gem! It is amazing what they did with the small under the roof room we stayed in, they made it feel more comfortable than the big room we stayed in the night before. Parking about 5 blocks away, 18 Euro for 24 hrs. Super friendly people, nice continental breakfast. Yes we would definitely stay here again!

The stay was pleasant. Room and the breakfast area were very pretty. Hosts were very friendly. Only thing that was a bit disappoited was that before going I tried to ask 3 times by chat, email and phone to see if it was possible to check in after 10pm in case we are caught in delay during the travel. There was no response. Eventually we made it before 10pm, but I was travelling with the worry in mind that we might be met with a closed front door and had to find accommodation elsewhere.

A wonderful little hotel in a quiet street near the centre of the old city. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very enjoyable, with freshly made bread and other continental favourites. We would definitely stay there again.

A quirky gem
If sterile, bland chain hotels aren’t your thing you couldn’t do better than this gem. Situated in the heart of things just near the fish market this is an ideal base for your stay. A warm, friendly welcome every day, superb, plentiful breakfast sets you up for a wonderful day of sightseeing and by the time you finish and head back a comfortable bed and great nights sleep awaits you.

Great hotel
A fantastic hotel in a great location, very central. The hotel owner was lovely and very helpful. Our room on the 3rd floor had a nice view over the rooftops. There is a lift, which is handy for luggage.

Wonderful hosts in a great location.
Botaniek is a cosy, quiet boutique hotel very close to the center of Bruges. Our room was comfortable & clean. Wifi was reliable (remotely accessed our PCs in Sydney daily). Lovely breakfast nook with basic but very tasty food. Extremely easy to walk to most sights worth seeing. The owners were very nice and helpful. They recommended local restaurants with good food and good value - away from the high priced tourist areas. They gifted us with 2 acts of great kindness. We had to catch a taxi to the train station @ 6 AM. On our way out the door, we found packed breakfast for two. Lastly, half-way to the station, I discovered that I had left one of my bags. We returned and called them at their apartment nearby as the hotel was locked. Despite being awoken so early, they immediately returned to the hotel with a smile so I could retrieve my bag. I highly recommend the Botaniek Hotel.

The hotel was centrally located and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were simple but beautifully presented and delicious each morning. The hotel was immaculately clean and the rooms were very nice. Outside there is a huge church with bells sounding quite often however in the rooms with the windows closed you couldn’t hear a thing. A beautiful boutique hotel and a very pleasurable experience.

Good solid bet right in the middle of Old Town. The room was very clean and comfortable with a great view of old town. The location is perfect right in the middle of everything and very close to the underground parking - only 8.70 euro for 24 hours - that is a real bargain. The owners were very friendly and helpful. A real good solid comfortable choice not breaking the bank for a B&B in a couple hundred year old building in the middle of old town, you can't beat it.

The owners Brent and Veronica were really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was better then we expected and was really quiet. The hotel location was very close to the market square. The breakfast was fine, especially the homemade bread and croissants. Would happily book this hotel again.

Botaniek Was Excellent!!!
The Botaniek was a great place to stay for our trip to Bruges! The owners were fantastic, greeting us when we arrived, giving advise on the area, and even serving our breakfast!!! When we stepped out into Bruges from the Botaniek we were so excited to see how we were almost in the city center. I would definitely advise anyone to stay at this wonderful place.

Situated on a very quiet street and yet close to all there is to see in Brugge. This is an old building that is starting to show it age. But still acceptable condition. I thought it would be more modern form the pictures I had seen.

Everything you need near Bruges
It was a pleasure staying at the Botaniek. Our hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is located on a quiet street, just a short walk from the city center. The room was clean, comfortable and everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a nicer stay!

Family friendly hotel in Bruges
My family and I stopped here for two nights on our way to Holland. We wanted to see what Bruges had to offer and this hotel was perfectly located for what we needed and was family friendly (which seems quite a rarity in Bruges). The room was well equipped with lovely furniture, the continental breakfast was adequate to see us through until lunch and our hosts (Vero & Brend) were wonderful. Brend was especially helpful and very understanding when I unfortunately managed to lock my keys in the car on the night of our arrival - he even managed to keep a straight face as I had to break into my own car! Whilst unfortunately we did not find our time in Bruges all that great as it just wasn't very child friendly (I think we will go again without our children in the future!), the hotel and staff were excellent and tried to recommend places to us that were more accommodating of little ones. Lovely hotel and hope to visit again in the future.

Great, as per last time. Just disappointed we couldn't be accommodated for all our stay here - particularly galling for us (and the owners I would assume) that a party of 8 Brits cancelled 2 ays before and we could have stayed there all the time!

Lovely little hotel
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for, we didn't spend much time in it as we were out sightseeing so we wanted something that was central (but quiet) and fed us breakfast, this place ticked all the boxes.The owners were so friendly and helpful, I cannot fault there hospitality. Breakfast was continental style which i personally love so for me this was fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. My only criticism is that room 4 is close to the lift which can be annoying if you are asleep and someone decides to use it, I am a light sleeper and it did wake me up every night and morning. I would recommend this hotel to friends and If we ever return to Brugge I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived early straight from the ferry we left our luggage at the hotel. The manager gave us a map and directions to a few places in Bruges. He was very friendly to us. We had nice weather in the morning but rain in the afternoon and all the next day so we were wet and cold. Bruges is very nice plenty of things to do but a lot of the shops are very expensive so take plenty of money.

The hotel was old and rooms were in need of renovation although comfortable. However, the public rooms were great, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful, the continental breakfast was very good, the street was quiet but still very close to sights, and there was an elevator. The hotel was not close to the train station, although within walking distance if you're willing to drag suitcases over cobblestones. Overall, a nice stay in a beautiful city.

The view from the room was amazing!! Room is small, very basic decor. The couple that run the hotel is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast has good variety. Cab ride to the train station was only €7. There are four buses (#1,#16 etc) that can get you within a couple of blocks from the hotel, costs €3 per person.

Exceptional Value for the Location
The owner and his wife were determined to ensure that every guest enjoys their stay and are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The value for money for a hotel of this quality in this location and with continental breakfast included in the rate was outstanding. Our only slight criticism was that some of the room fittings and fixtures are a little tired, but for example the creaking wardrobe door added to the character and charm of the place. Would not hesitate to recommend or to return if visiting Brugge again.
