A tremendous hidden gem. The rooms are beautiful and the sq feet per dollar is a fantastic deal. Quick subway trip to Grand Central and easy access to Williamsburg. The walk across the bridge to Long Island City affords an incredible view of the Manhattan. Shuttle service is available ( only complaint is they need another car, wait times were abut annoying). The neighbourhood is not touristy so if that's your thing, keep looking but if you love an authentic experience while travelling this is it. Fell in love with Brooklyn. Truly great hotel.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. TV reception was poor and there is no bar facility in the hotel if you are looking to sit I the garden with a drink. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Excellent hotel. Very helpful, courteous, and attentive staff. Absence of parking is a major problem, ameliorated somewhat by hotel shuttles provided upon request to and from subway stops within a mile or two. Location in somewhat run down light industry and warehouse area makes venturing outside very unappealing. even though near to more residential areas and relatively short subway ride into Manhatttan..
We selected Le Jolie primarily based on location and price. We had stayed at another hotel in Williamsburg in October and the room price had almost doubled in the summer. From the moment we arrived, the staff was efficient, cordial and responsive. We received information about the complimentary breakfast, plus coffee and tea available 24 hrs. Our room was comfortably cool when we entered, well appointed, attractive, and impeccably clean and included a small refrigerator and jewelry safe. Shortly after our arrival, we received a call from the front desk inquiring if all met our satisfaction. There were ample electrical outlets, complimentary WiFi, etc....It is one of the best properties we have experienced including others in a much higher price range. Additionally, it was very convenient to the L subway into Manhattan. I would recommend this hotel to anyone regardless of the reason for travel. Don't be concerned about the location overlooking the BQ expressway, #278. Our room facing Meeker and the expressway was very quiet, well insulated by double windows with several inches airspace. We were attending our daughter's wedding. Finally,we encountered other guests who were repeat customers and we will be the next time we visit BK!

"Great spot to stay - go exploring to eat / drink"
The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are very polite. It's in a good spot within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, the Brooklyn Brewery, etc. You'll see some New York "graffiti" nearby which is actually street art and it's in a pretty safe neighborhood.
My primary complaint with the hotel is that the staff, while mostly friendly, seem like they were transported there in a sealed plastic bag. I asked for recommendations by phone two days before my visit and got a list of NYC attractions e-mailed to me, which looked like a copy/paste from Google. Upon arrival, only one staff member was able to recommend a restaurant nearby - the others went to Google to find one. I can do that! I wanted a *local* recommendation! The main level lobby bar is underwhelming. I think they had a grand total of one cider and one beer stocked and all the red wine was "chilled" - not our thing. When I asked for a mojito and got one with cucumbers in it, I asked for another without and the pool bartender gave me a look of astonishment... but did remake the drink. Upon arriving at the rooftop bar at 10:55 at night, and with a reasonably good number of people there, the only bartender informed me that the rooftop area was closing/no longer serving. On my way out, I commented on this to the front desk who told me that, no, the rooftop operates until at least 11:45.
Better off going to one of the other places in the neighborhood to drink. There are at least 20 in a 3 minute walk

I was there on a business trip, in and out after one night. Check-in was efficient, with a very cheerful woman seated on the edge of their lobby bar doing the work. She called an hour later to see if the room met my needs. It did, although the free Internet service seemed a bit slow, and one of the two bed lamps didn't work. The dresser surface was cluttered with overpriced food and drink options, but it was easy enough to consolidate and move them out of the way. Otherwise it was roomy, comfortable and clean and just a short walk to a major subway hub to get back into Manhattan or further into Brooklyn. I will stay there again unless the prices escalate.
Good choice to save money on NYC trip! Close to subway in Brooklyn (20 min. to Manhattan). Clean, hip, modern room/bathroom. Small room (so what) and comfy beds. Quiet even on street level. Nice breakfast spread. Staff does a good job. We were a little uneasy at first with the neighborhood but the truth is, it's a working NY area, buzzing with life, and we had no trouble. Good location, clean place to crash, saved a lot of money. What more do you want?
The landmark Brooklyn Bridge links Manhattan with the city’s most populous borough. Waterfront Brooklyn Heights offers superb views of Lower Manhattan. Renowned for its brownstones and leafy neighborhoods, Brooklyn embodies America’s “melting pot.” Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish communities add to the cultural mix. Highlights include Coney Island, Prospect Park, and Brooklyn Museum of Art.
