Very nice hotel for the price. Was hoping for a better view of the bay, but I could see it! Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Staff was very pleasant...even brought up extra blankets at midnight with a smile!
All of the staff were so nice and helpful! Check-in and out were smooth and simple. Everything was clean and working, we had extra pillows brought to the room with no hassle and used the coffee maker in the lobby to get hot water for tea, ect. We were pleasantly surprised by how close the hotel was to the beach, we also walked to the grocery store with no problem (under a mile). Already planning more trips here.
I can not say enough about our stay. The grounds were beautiful, the innkeepers were wonderful and the breakfast very refreshing and tasty. I would go back and stay longer next time, we were only there for the night, traveling and sight seeing. If I am fortunate enough to return, I will plan on spending all my time at Church Point and relax.
I like this property, because it is Dog Friendly. On the beach, and the dogs loved it. All of the staff was great. You need to advise folks not to keep the luggage carts in their rooms over night for early check out!!!
Very relaxing 24 hours with my teenagers who loved the indoor pool and the movie theatre. We found the room comfortable and the staff was very happy to help with a late check out so that they could swim and then eat before we got in the car to come home.
My husband and I drove 9 hours to VA beach from Rhode Island, and we arrived at the hotel before check in time. Not only did they allow us to check in early, but they upgraded my room! We stayed in mid-December, so the hotel was very quiet. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The ocean view from the room was breathtaking! Basically every thing about the stay was nice.
For the negatives: the parking garage requires you to swipe a card to come and go as you please, but the card maker at the hotel front desk wasn't working so we had to check into the garage every time we parked, which was a little frustrating, but certainly do-able. The staff was very very apologetic about this.
Also, one of the speakers on our TV didn't work. VA beach was dead in mid December, especially at night, so we wanted to rent a movie one night...except we couldn't hear half of it cause if the sound came from the left speaker we couldn't hear a thing. Again, not the worst thing in the world.
Overall, I would absolutely stay here again. Without question. I would also recommend it to a friend. The positives far outweighed the very few small and silly complaints!
