Well located in Stockholm. Secure, easily available car park. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent room with good air conditioning. Excellent breakfast, bar and occasional meals (very helpful at providing tea when we arrived after a long car journey).
Could have a wider choice of meals in the evening.
Three girls sharing a room can be fun but also crowded! We initially got a small room with three single beds but then we spoke to the hotel staff and asked to be moved in a bigger room. They luckily had something available and we got to stay in their family room. They were super helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The location of the hotel is also very convenient and central. Would stay there again.
We had a very nice room, with the quirky horse head and teddy bear to greet us. The location is excellent and the staff were terrific. There were only a couple of people who were a little gruff, but outnumbered by the rest. The only reason we did not give the room an excellent for comfort was that it was too hot, but we finally took the down comforter out of the case and used that as a sheet, so we slept much better.
We have just returned from a long weekend at Royal Viking. I can say after a mixed bag of reviews we were not expecting too much! However, our business class room was fantastic, the pillows and bed were so comfy and you just sank into them!! So comfy.. The bathroom was stunning and spotless, loved the quartz stone and chrome! The breakfast had everything you would normally expect from a 4 star, great variety, fresh fruit was amazing! The only criticism would be should have plates at each section as if you were at the toaster area, you had to find a side plate at another section, hence think more people wandering around a bit when at busy times could be avoided. We used the fisk bar each evening for drinks and was always busy with a good atmosphere or in the day to sit and have coffee. Lastly the location of this hotel you cannot beat, the station is right outside the door and perfect for catching the train or subway. Although this is quite a large hotel, it still had a great vibe and was not impersonal, all the staff were friendly and very efficient. Had a look at pool and spa area, looked ok and cosy, very big gym area did not get chance to use, but will use if we ever get to come back to Sweden again as this will definately be the hotel to stay!!
The hotel staff was helpful with suggestions for dining and shopping, lent me an electrical adapter for my laptop. Room is small, but all I needed was a place to sleep and shower, the breakfast and wiifi were a bonus for the low price. Quiet and clean place with good size bunk beds (I am 6-1 tall).
