Very noisy with poor sound insulation. Noisy upstairs resident was up at 4.00am and I was awake until they left. I heard every singel step in the room and stairs, Very poor breakfast facilities. Carpet in my room damaged. Otherwise reasonably clean. I would not recommend it.

Thank you very much Regent Hotel for your friendly welcome to Bristol. This is a great budget option for a visit to the city. The room was lovely and clean, perhaps a little musty, but it soon cleared on airing. Very comfy bed, great bathroom. To advise other visitors, the on-site parking is extremely limited, and we had to park on the street. As we were only staying one night and arrived at 6pm, we only had to pay for three hours so that was okay. Also, I would advise if you have any mobility issues, this may not be the best option as we had a lot of stairs, though there are some ground floor rooms, so speak to the hotel. Breakfast is continental style, but we were impressed by the choice available. It was smashing to start the day with porridge, fruit, yoghurt, juice and a spot of earl grey. I travel a lot, but I'm very fussy, so believe me when I say I recommend this as a great budget option, I mean it. One more thing, we went into the student area for food, but had we noticed that Racks opposite does some great food options and isn't too pricey, we would have eaten there.

An extremely disappointing stay
An extremely disappointing stay 1. marred by incessantly noisy stairwells, making it impossible to rest during late-night hours. 2. The absence of a room key was concerning, and the hotel's inability to provide access cards forced me to rely solely on staff assistance for entry. 3. The double bed in my room was remarkably undersized for a hotel of this caliber. 4. The advertised presence of a bathtub turned out to be a false claim, leaving me with a feeling of deception. 5.Additionally, the breakfast offered was far from satisfactory, consisting mainly of cold options like bars and instant porridge, which fell short of the expected hot breakfast experience.

The property only has 3 parking spaces so if you need one get there before the check in time of 3pm. We checked into our room on the very top floor up many flights of stairs to find that there were no toilettries so had to walk all the way back to reception to ask for some hand soap and shower gel. Rooms were very dated and carpet very stained. Broken blind in the bathroom. It did the trick as we needed somewhere to stay for just one night in Bristol but we won't be staying again. Lots of noise overnight from the bathroom next door, that was in the main hallway so clearly shared between 2 other rooms. Perfectly fine for one night but would prefer to pay a little more and stay elsewhere next time.

So were to start... OYO are the worst company i have EVER had to deal with, incompetent, not helpful and for someone that is neurodivergent unless. Facilities were ok... all worked but the rooms and hole place could do with a revampe, you dont even need to spend alot but there are fingerprints and dirty walls and carpets everywhere, however the one human that was actually there ( as no one is between 4.30am-3pm) she was amazing, didnt get her name but she was very helpful and accomidating.

Carpets in the rooms need fully replacing, they are marked everywhere. That doesn't make me feel like the room is clean. Bathroom needed better cleaning, mould in shower and enclosure. Linen, cupboards and bed were fine.

Found mouldy food in a draw, carpets look like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Unable to close bathroom window properly dye to broken hatch. Staff member Rudy was helpfull.

Shocking Hotel !!!!!
Entered my room and was met by the stench of the smell of smoke fumes . Advised the receptionist and reply was yes I can get you some spray for that! Carpet was filthy, stained all over! Advertises Bar & Restaurant, but do not have either Never setting foot in again, do not stay here!!!!

Pros. Friendly service, a few options for dairy free milk, gluten free/vegan breakfast, easy to find location & great access to city centre Cons. Room 331 that we’re staying in was right by the corridor & stairs to the rooms on the second floor - not the best spot if you want a quiet night/morning. Beige carpets had a lot of stains on them all over the room, they felt clean, but looked very old. Overall a great city break experience, all staff was welcoming and friendly, free breakfast ( +vegan options ) was a nice little bonus, value for money, would definitely come back

not happy at all
i didn’t find the place very clean, had to share bathroom with 2 other rooms, up 4 flights of narrow stairs, very small room. ended up leaving when they didn’t have a room with own bathroom and no one to help me with my luggage asked for a refund but my request was denied. wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. had to walk a long way to find another place with a vacancy not a nice intro to Bristol

Property was what I expected. My only gripe was waiting over 10 minutes to gain access because the receptionist wasn’t there, and she wasn’t answering the door when I was ringing the bell. I wasn’t the only one waiting to get in either. I eventually gained access to the building due to another guest leaving. This still didn’t attract the attention of the receptionist. Once checked in I then had to go and find a parking spot for my car. Once I came back I was again made to wait to gain access and I only got in this time due to ringing my friend who was also staying and getting him to come and open the main door. We later spoke to the receptionist to ask why the room key didn’t open the main front door and she told us there is someone on reception 24 hours, which we found laughable because on two occasions we wanted to come into the building we were kept waiting. Other than that everything else was as it should be but I would suggest you have a word with whoever should be manning the reception desk.

On the evening I stayed the heating wasn't working in my room and is was around 0 degrees outside. The bedroom walls were paper thin so even a normal conversation in the next room could be heard. Paint was flaking off the ceiling. Breakfast was a basic buffet style with limited food that wasn't replenished so when it run out there was nothing left. I arrived at 9am to find only coffee, apples and bananas. I wasn't warned it was this style of buffet and liable to run out. I understand this hotel is at the cheaper end of things so I don't expect the Ritz but I do not think that it was value for money and would not stay here again.

Choose another hotel
First of all, this is not directed at the staff that served us - rather the company that employs them. They are clearly extremely overstretched and expected to do way more than is feasible for one person to do. The state of this hotel is shocking - the room and hallways were dirty, there was another person’s towels on the bathroom floor when we checked in, there was black mould on the shower wall, which is barely big enough to store a broom in. If this is the flagship OYO I dread to think what the others are like!

Basic Stay in Great Bristol Neighborhood
The staff did the bare minimum for checking in and checking out. The room was a decent size but you could feel the springs in the mattress. The window couldn't fully close so you could hear the cars outside and it could get cold. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. The common bathroom wasn't the cleanest. That aside, it's in a prime location but it's definitely overpriced for what you get. All in all, just stay here if you're looking for a place to sleep and nothing more.
