“Maybe best Hotel in Bristol centre”
All you expect from a top notch business hotel. Good wifi, clean room. A little pricey, but not out of the range for the class of hotel. You get what you pay for.
“Marriott - what Marriott”
Have always stayed at the Marriott - great hotel and location - however they have completely out priced themselves, so I thought I would try this one - fantastic, Great location for the bars and theatre. Perfect for Clifton and shoppers. - If you want a really nice hotel that isnt overprice - this is for you.
“Very satisfied”
I live in Bristol but wanted a central Bristol hotel as a base for a wedding. I chose the Radisson Blu mainly because of its very cetral location. The Hotel is very clean, the staff were helpful and the room was nice, comfortable bed, nice size bathroom, everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. I liked the full floor to ceiling glass windows too which as we were on the 11th floor, offered great views across the harbourside. My only complaint was that the air con on the room was set to a cold setting (16 degrees) which I didn't notice as came in and went straight to bed - but was like waking in the artic! I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that - and the lack of parking could be a major issue - so make sure you book yourself a parking space at the hotel when you book your room or parking elsewhere will cost you a fortune. Overall, I would happily stay there again.
“Great location by Bristol harbour”
We had a two night stay, and our room on the 11th floor had a great view. The hotel is right opposite the Watershed and the harbour, and there is loads to do just a few steps away. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and the bathroom particularly nice. Minor gripe was that one of the lifts wasn't working, but we were able to use the 'staff' lift which was better than no replacement. I'm sure that would be a temporary problem in any case! overall a very nice, very new, hotel, in a great location.
“Great”
Great stay, well above expectations. Even their standard double room was HUGE, very comfortable and more than what you pay for. Good service, great buffet breakfast and no complaints apart from walls in rooms seem to be a bit thin sound wise and we only seemed to find two lifts. With like 17 floors, a few more lifts would have been helpful. But still, perfect two nights.
“Very good hotel, shame for some glitches”
The location is unbeatable, in the heart of Bristol and near many attractions. It is a modern building, with modern furniture and decor, a 4* hotel. The room had a nice bed, and a sufficiently silent air conditioner (often not so, even in luxury hotels). Nespresso machine with 4 pods in the room! Nice and big toiletries. Free WiFi, which is laudable (I am always upset by expensive hotels having the cheek to charge £10-15 and more for Internet). On the down side: the programming of the lifts is ridiculous, they descend without stopping even more than once, apparently this is due to some mistake in the software; so one has to wait forever in a hot hallway waiting for the lift. Also, the breakfast room is small, so if you arrive immediately after a gaggle of Chinese tourists you have to go to an overflow room which however is on a lower floor (meaning you have to climb stairs to get food and drink). If they fix the lifts, this hotel will be really really good.
“Excellent hotel in a nice city”
This is a great hotel, perfectly situated within easy walking distance of pretty much anything you want to do in Bristol city centre! The hotel service was good. The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was comfortable, spacious, modern, clean and well-appointed. We didn't eat in the hotel because there are plenty of nearby restaurants of all types. However, I can highly recommend the hotel breakfast!
“lady boys tour weekend”
top marks all round
“Perfect location”
Great location for all the Bristol sights. The only draw back is the lifts so it takes a long time to get out of the building! Great breakfast and friendly service.
“Best hotel in Bristol for comfort and cost”
I lived in Bristol for 4 years and always struggled for a reasonable hotel for visitors to stay, Radisson Blu is definitely the best. Spacious, clean modern rooms with new tiled bathrooms. Mega comfy bed, quiet and a nice view of the waterfront from the 10th floor.
