“Ideally located”

Very nice hotel, clean comfortable rooms and a superb breakfast. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Found the hotel to be ideally situated close to the city centre but in a quiet location. Especially useful if arriving by train as it is only 5 mins walk from Temple Meads Station. Would definately use this hotel again.

Good size rooms and friendly helpful staff but breakfasts lacked the variety of other four star hotels and although service continued until 12pm supplies were not replenished so late diners had even less choice....

5 minute walk from temple meads station , i was travelling daily to Cheltenham races , so this was ideal for me , i ate in the hotel restaurant every night, food was very good with quite a choice and reasonably priced for a 4 star hotel , with a small but quite good quality selection of wine. The only concern for a younger traveller was that there appeared to be no nightlife in the immediate vicinity of the hotel , i believe this was a 10-15 minute walk into the city centre. I will probably use this hotel again when going to Cheltenham races

“Bristol Temple Meads”

Only a ten minute walk to the railway station, very convenient for getting to Heathrow.. The staff were very helpful in spite of the fact that it appeared to be more of a business hotel than a tourist hotel. Breakfast was very nice, although a little variety during the week would have been nice. We stayed 8 nights and we assumed that one or two nights were the norm.

“Convenient and Comfortable”

Initially a little disappointed when opening our room to the odour of cigarettes (No Smoking bedroom), but once this had gone found the room to be very comfortable and quiet. En suite shower was excellent. Staff all very accomodating and helpful.

“Perfectly fine”

Comfortable, clean room, but disappointed by noise of air conditioning, so turned it off. Nice walk-in shower, but very slow drain on sink. Disappointed at having to wait five minutes for a table to be cleared for breakfast, but service was fine after that. Not a huge selection of breakfast items. Secure underground car park very useful in the centre of Bristol.

“Excellent hotel!”

Good hotel, very clean and good quality rooms. Expensive breakfast, although we got this included in the room rate which made it extremely good value. Car parking for 24 hours is £10 which is expensive, so this will need to be factored in if you need to park there. Very good value on a special expedia rate.

“Basic but practical”

I had a large double with the hob, microwave and kitchen sink unit. There is a small Tesco supermarket across the road and a Sainsbury's and Waitrose about 10 minutes walk away. The room is basic, the TV remotes don't work very well, this room's window didn't close properly. Croydon is a city in itself and has many restaurants and a largeish shopping area. It is also convenient for trips by rail to central London which is a 15 minute journey from East Croydon station, trips into the green belt which is not too far south and visits to the sea which again is easiest by rail.
