“Good Location and value for money”
The location by the river is very good, lots of restaurants and bars are nearby. My room was bright, modern and spacious, and the service was excellent.
“Great Hotel Perfectly Placed”
I have found both the Mercure Hotels in Bristol very professional and nothing is too much trouble. The Brigstow was perfectly placed on the water front with only one downfall there is no car parking available and the cost in the NCP next door was £14.50 for 24 hours! I travel on business every other week and will definately keep this hotel group in mind as the attention to detail is second to none.
“Gorgeous!”
This hotel was absolutely gorgeous - super clean, really stylish (I wanted to take the sofas home!)and really comfortable. We didn't eat there as breakfast was a bit expensive, but there was a great little cafe down the road. Fantastic position on the waterfront - in easy reach of the town centre but not in the middle of all the pubs and bars so it was fairly quiet (even on a Friday night in August). We will definitely use it again, especially as using my Nectar points made it super cheap!
“Great location for exploring Bristol”
Stayed for a night for a family event. Good quality hotel, including the breakfast. Used public transport to get to and from there (10 min walk from station - if travelling light do not waste the £6 taxi charge), so no idea for parking, but the area is very pedestrianised, so you may wish to use taxi-bus.
“Good hotel, Good location”
The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and the staff were very courteous. Our room was spacious and had really good views over the river. We especially liked the TV over the bath. The breakfast was very good. The hotel's location is excellent for exploring Bristol.
“Great place to stay in Bristol”
With the exception of a slightly too hard mattress, my stay at the Bristol Brigstow was very pleasant indeed. I would also suggest that feather pillows be made available. Had a very reasonably fixed price dinner, three courses. Breakfast also very satisfying. My room overlooked the river and was quiet and enjoyable.
“Excellent Hotel”
Really nice hotel, very well situated for discovering Bristol. Try and get a river view, I had one looking out the back and it was dismal but as only for one night not worth upgrading. Breakfast was ok but not the best I have had. Altogether though a nice stay at a good price.
“More than adequate”
So used to hotels allowing the bare minimum for comfort, it was a pleasure to stay at the Mercure Brigstow and experience a better than "just so" stay. The room and en-suite bathroom were very clean and the queen size bed exceptionally comfortable. The restaurant was OK and the cooked breakfast really very good. We will go out of our way to stay here again.
“A great location for a weekend break in Bristol”
This was the third time we've stayed in the hotel and look forward to going back. It's in a great location within walking distance of the city centre and close to the harbour amenities. Staff are always friendly and, using Expedia, we've always been able to get a good priced deal including breakfast. It's price competitive with the nearby Premier Inn but doesn't attract the 'stag and hen' party crowd.
“'Another Sausage?'”
In entering the hotel for late check in at 1am we waited a good 10 mins for someone to appear on desk - 24hr check service is great if someone is there to do the job! The room was of a comfortable standard though the view over the car park wasn't great. The modern bathroom needed some work - the tv volume was uncontrollable. Our main reason for complaint is the breakfast (included.) Admittedly it was a Saturday morning but we had to wait half an hour for a table for breakfast. When we did get a table the waitress plonked down the cutlery. After about 25mins I asked where our breakfast was and got no apology. When the breakfast did come the waiter clumsily dropped the sausage into my tea!! Quote Waiter 'Would you like me to get you another one?' ME: 'Er, yes please, you did just drop it in my tea!' Interesting stay...
