“A good hotel for my purposes”

The hotel is a curious warren of rooms in a late eighteenth-century Georgian Gothic building. Some of the decoration is rather tired, but the overall effect was pleasant enough. The site is difficult to access from certain directions (being on a junction on a very busy road), and some of the rooms are poorly insulated from traffic noise. As I sleep like a stone, this didn't bother me - but I can imagine other travellers having problems. I didn't eat there, and so can't comment on the food, but the room was warm and well-presented, with a comfortable bed. It was also ideally located for the business trip that I was undertaking. Would I stay there again? Certainly, if I were on business in that part of Bristol.

“Arnos Manor Bristol”

The Manor is lovely, the public areas have so many original features and the dining room is so beautiful. For 3 star it is great value for money, particularly as the parking in free. In Bath if a hotel has parking they charge a fortune. So what I don't understand is that they don't promote such lovely surroundings and match it with some special food - limited menu but special. It may be that there is huge competition in Bristol, but this building has history and presence which is so rare. The staff are lovely, the room was lovely. You are not Cinderella Arnos Manor, you can turn into a Princess.

“christmas market in bath”

The hotel up graded us to an executive room even though we had booked a standard which was a pleasant surprise. The room was comfortable clean and large. The breakfast is buffet style ina conservatory area which was very pleasant

“Reasonable for price”

Hotel was representative of its grade. In need of a little paint etc, but basically comfortable. Room wasn't clean on arrival, however, with used cup and banana skin on table. Asked for this to be cleared away, but somehow it never happened. Otherwise, comfortable stay and good location for access to city, although a little noisy as on a main road.

“Our advice is don't go there”

The hotel is next to a major road junction . We asked for a quiet room and got one on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel. The room was so noisy we thought the windows were open!! - no double glazing!! Room was also tired, dated and tatty like the reception area. Several floorboards creaked as broken so would not have wanted to be in the room below. TV was so far from the bed you almost needed binoculars to see the screen. Breakfast was a disaster - waited half an hour for our cooked breakfast order to be taken but gave up. No milk on our table and coffee pot lid broken. On checkout we were held up by other customers arguing over their bill and the receptionist not seeming to know what was happening. Hotel need to spend a lot of money updating before I would recommend it
