“Not worth it”

Great location but not worth the price paid. Good location but very tired toom, staff were nice enough. Free parking was a bonus but it was noisy from about 3AM! Bottom line if you're just after a place to crash in the city I suppose its OK but surely better is available for the money.

“Great location with exception service at a wonderful price!”

The convenience of this hotel's location makes it easy walking to visit Brisbane CBD, Southbank and public transport. Exceptional friendly service, it is lovely to stay were staff go out of there way to make our visit comfortable. The room rate was fantastic and the room clean and comfortable. I will be recommending this hotel to friends, family and anyone visiting Brisbane. We will definitely be staying here again.

“Value for Money and Great Location”

We chose this hotel because of its cost (we received a very good rate for our 4 ngiht stay) and its proximity to the venue for my niece's wedding reception. It also proved most convenient for dining out and easy walking distance to the CBD for shopping. Our only difficulty was locationg the hotel - its entrance is not very visible on Montague Road. On site parking was very useful and our Studio room was most comfortable and practically set up. Would definitely recommend.

“Excellent location for the QPAC events”

We only had 1 night here as we went to a concert at QPAC and the Apartment was only about 5 mins walk from here, the metro station (South Brisbane) is same distance so easy to catch the Airport train into this property. The area were the Apartment is located is pretty residential however there are restaurants near QPAC & also down Melbourne Road including a Coles Supermarket, which is approx 10-15mins walk from the Apartments. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting areas to visit, you can walk across the bridge into the main shopping area of the city or head to the South bank area. We were here on the weekend and South Bank has markets and bars to fill in any spare time. The Apartments were clean, tidy and well equipped with cooking utensils. They only have a small TV in the lounge area but our apartment had a balcony in the lounge and bedroom, and of course air con! They also have a washing machine/dryer which is a bonus for a longer stay. Working in the travel industry I would definitely recommend these apartments as pretty good value for money and I would definitely stay here again if we were heading over for another concert or had a group of friends travelling. Really enjoyed our stay.

“Mixed bag”

As as I mentioned before air con emited a stale damp smell luckily it was a cool day by Brisbane standards. The room overlooked the bridge which was noisy with the window open. Location is at the top of the south Bank so good for town and the theatre e.t.c. I guess if it's cheap enough the location is realy good....

“Good location in South Bank”

Both the check-in and check-out were handled efficiently and the staff were friendly. The room was adequate for a short stay and the bed was large and comfortable. Unfortunately there was no information whatsoever in the room about the hotel's facilities - not even if or when room service was available. Consequently it is impossible to rate whatever was on offer at the hotel itself. I also thought it was strange that there was no form in the room to rate the hotel / room and to give suggestions as to how the stay there could be improved. I thought the set up of the bathroom's "consumables" - soap, shampoo etc - gave the impression of cheapness. The location of the hotel was perfect. However, as a first time user of the hotel it was really frustrating to get to by car. Both Brisbane's one way system and the fact that the entrance to the car park and the reception area was not in the same street as indicated by the hotel's address, lead to much stress when we arrived at around 4 - 4.30pm (in peak hour traffic).

“Brisbane New Year Adventure”

Centrally located to City CBD and West End restaurant district. Modern, comfortable Hotel that provided secure parking. suitable for couples and families on short termm stays in Brisbane. We visited for new Years and it was a short stroll to South Banke were the fireworks were.

“Basic but functional hotel in excellent location”

The Riverside Hotel is not the type of property to choose if you think your stay in Brisbane will include a lot of time in and around the hotel itself. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are a lot smaller and the swimming pool is one of the smallest I have ever seen. Having said that, the place is clearly well managed, very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. It also incluses free, secure parking - which is quite valuable in its own right. In short, it offers excellent value for money if your primary need is for a simple accommodation where you can sleep, shower and make a cup of coffee before heading out again. But the Riverside's greatest asset is its location. It sits on the doorstep to Brisbane's increasingly vibrant South Bank district and lies just across the road from the spectacular new Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and the Queensland State Library. Just down the road lies the Queensland Gallery, the Queensland Museum and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. Then there's the Convention and Exhibition Centre, the South Bank Parklands and the bohemian district of West End with its lively nightlife. There are literally hundreds of cafes, bars and restaurants offering something to satisfy every taste and budget within ten minutes' walk of the Riverside. And if you do need to go to work, Brisbane's Central Business District is just a brisk ten minute walk away across the adjacent bridge into the city centre.
