“Great location, great staff!!!”
After a poor start with hotel room cleanliness the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were great and the location fantastic for a days shopping!!!
“A great overall experience in Brisbane”
I booked our room at the 'executive' rate based on reviews by others. The comments led me to believe that the executive lounge might be a complimentary feature for the executive rate, and there were raves about drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the evenings. We had long-day excursions and only visited the lounge our first evening and it was a wonderful experience as noted by others. Also, when we first arrived (early) our room was not yet ready and they invited us to go up to the lounge to wait and we had a light mid-morning snack, with a great view. Very hospitable; great food and beverages. Worth the extra room fee. Also the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Since we do not travel with hair dryer in foreign countries, I had to use theirs and it was huge, too heaving and not ionized, so it took forever to dry my hair. That's the only ding.
“Useful”
We stayed at the Hilton for one night between flights. The hotel itself is very corporate, but nice. The walls of the room are a little 'thin' and the breakfast was a bit chilly, but other than that it was fine.
“Good hotel, nicely located but beware car parking charges”
Good hotel, great room and very good breakfast. Slight shock to find that parking our car would be A$50 per day, but still cheaper than the rest of the CBD. Would have been nice if we had been made aware of this when booking. Also, no complimentary newspaper although room description said we would receive one. Would probaly stay there again but if visiting Brisbane again, would more likely choose a hotel outside the CBD which would have free parking and be easier to find. Lots on one way streets in the CBD!!
“Could have been better for a Hilton hotel”
Our arrival at Brisbane Hilton hotel was seamless, with the Consierge greeting us warmly, taking care of our luggage, so we could go to level 6 to check in. However reception was a different story. The hotel lobby and restaurants are under construction - or more politely renovations. At the small reception desk was one receptionist - who greeted us sourly, without any apologies for the noise, dust and possible inconvenience to guests. She informed us that our room was not ready yet, but would call us when it was. There was no phone call - so at 2.45pm we went back to the hotel and checked in. I was travelling with my partner, but they gave us one electronic key - we had to go back and ask for another. Small issues - we agree but not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. The exit from the hotel to Queen Street Mall was a passage-way - with workmen around, dusk and cigarette smoke prevailing - each time we went out or returned. Only 2 lifts were operational to the guest rooms - you had to press both lift buttons to try and get a lift - some waiting ensured. Odd as hotel appeared very quiet. On the positive side, the hotel is well positioned and King room was modern, quiet and spotless. Once hotel renovations are complete I am sure the Hilton Hotel will live up to its 5 star status.
“Had a great stay!”
We recently spent a night at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious, the buffet breakfast oh so delicious. The only very slight negative is that renovations are still taking place, but that did not detract from our stay and, in fact, is a necessary part of keeping standards high. Thanks to all at the Hilton Brisbane CDB.
“even through renovations the hotel shone”
major renovations to a hotel can be very disruptive to a traveller but on this occassion they inconvenience and noise were kept to a minimum. i was given one of the newly renovated rooms which was very nicely finished and equipped. breakfast was set up in a function room and was lovely. The restaurant manager is charming and very efficent. Would reccomend the hotel to anyone.
“Looking forward to next time”
Wonderful service, a touch of class and a great breakfast, just what you would expect from the Hilton. The room was lovely but we may treat ourselves to the executive suite next time.
“Missed Wake Up Call!!!!!!”
Simply put.....they failed to deliver a wake up call the morning of my flight overseas!!!!! Totally unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!
“Excellent and will stay there next time i go to Brisbane”
Could not fault the hotel very good.
