Friendly staff, nice hotel, good breakfast

Posted 24-Feb-2015
Pros: Delightful staff. Very pleasant hotel, nicely furnished. Great breakfast, mostly organic. All is done with generosity.
Cons: A lift would have been handy...but there is no room.
Location: Great location, near the beach, shopping street, mall, lots of restaurants just round the corner. Pleasant view over the square.
The location is really good. Hotel is pleasant, the staff being the nicest I've ever met. Very generous. Nearly all is sustainable and organic. Lovely touch: home made organic cake with 'Help yourself' sign. Only slight drawback: My room was small and on the third floor without lift. But the young man took my suitcase upstairs for me.

Pros: Attractive buffet style breakfast, and free organic cake!
Cons: Room was on 4th floor, and no lift - could be a problem if you have mobility problems.
Location: Seafront, The Lanes, Brighton Pavilion
Friendly, laid back hotel, close to sights and amenities

Elegant small Victorian B & B close to seafront.

Posted 05-Jan-2015
Pros: Brighton House felt like a home away from home. Newspapers to peruse over breakfast, a fluffy cat in the lobby, fresh flowers.
Cons: I have no suggestions for improvements.
Location: Near the seafront but set back enough to be out of the strong winds. Easy walk to everything.
I was warmly welcomed into an elegantly informal, pleasantly fragrant lobby/dining room. The Manager and other staff were helpful and solicitous without being intrusive. My small room, compact but well appointed, had a sunny balcony with sea view and two chairs. Breakfast was buffet style with many healthy choices. Brighton House is easy to find, only about two minutes' from the seafront and yet quiet, set back as it is in Regency Square. There is underground parking accessed in the Square. Many restaurants, bistros and cafes both along the seafront and in nearby roads, with a supermarket and convenience stores also handy.

Great New Year Celebration

Posted 04-Jan-2015
Pros: Breakfast and location
Cons: Having some heating in the bathroom on the top floor - so that wet towels can be dried
Location: Excellent location near to the beach, restaurants and public houses.
We had a great experience at the Brighton House Hotel. The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was delicious as well. Downside for us was that we were on the top floor and the view from the window was not great, but apart from that it was perfect.

This hotel is a hidden gem

Booked a 2 night stay at Brighton House. The hotel is in a convient location, so makes a great base for exploring Brighton. The room was at the front of the building it was very cosy and you could see the sea out of the window. Staff were welcoming and pleasant, including the adorable Cat! Breakfast was great too, really good service and a great selection to pick from. This would definitely be my first choice if I was to visit Brighton again!

Leuk hotel. goed verblijven

Posted 02-Dec-2014
Pros: De puur Engelse Brighton style
Location: Brigthon is een leuke plaats aan zee. Zeker in het zomerseizoen zal het zeer prettig verblijven zijn. Zeer veel restaurantjes in de omgeving.
Leuk hotel. Oude stijl. Kleine maar nette kamers. Prima bedden. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Goed ontbijt. Dicht bij strand. Prima ervaring.

Lovely guest house close to the beach

Posted 28-Nov-2014
Pros: We liked everything about this hotel. It was spotlessly clean with lovely decor, furniture and lighting. The food was excellent and well presented.
Cons: The mirrors in our bathroom on the lower ground floor were positioned too high impossible to use them. Need to be lowered about 12inches
Location: Fabulous location on Regency Square near the sea front and only a few minutes walk to Churchill Square shopping centre and the Lanes.
This is a lovely guest house in an excellent location near to the sea front and yet close to the shops and the famous Lanes. Welcoming staff and a spotlessly clean hotel. The breakfast is superb offering a good choice of food including eggs, cheese, ham, cereals and fruit. The homemade bread is gorgeous. There is always a lovely homemade organic cake available for guests to try with a cup of tea or coffee. Our room was large and very comfortable with lovely bed linen and comfrey pillows. The bathroom was enormous and we had only one complaint that the mirrors in the bathroom were positioned too high for us to be able to use them. We will definitely book this guest house again it had everything we needed and was in the perfect location for us. Very good bus services in Brighton and the guest house was only five minutes from Churchill Square where there are lots of buses. Lots of good restaurants close by.

Great stay

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Loved my stay at brighton house... Walkable distance to train station, and all the main parts of town. The ocean is at the end of the street and the pier is an easy walk. Staff are warm and friendly. Room was small but cosy and clean, and hotel was safe (important for me travelling alone). Breakfast included was lovely. Would definitely recommend.
