It is about a 30min walk into Brighton, but is along the seafront so is a nice walk. Taxi cost us £7 on the night, so location is great. We were lucky to get the parking spot opposite that cost us £5 per day. Staff are really friendly & helpful. Breakfast was included & was delicious. Bed was really comfortable, room nice & clean. There was complimentarily drinks & chocolates in the room (nice touch). Bathroom very very small, but shower was good.

4* Victorian building 150 meters from the seafront. Fantastic service combined with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere …More
We were very pleased with this hotel, which we chose on the basis that it was dog-friendly and close to relatives in Hove. The only slightly negative comment (which didn't matter to us) is that the furnishings in the corridors are a little old-fashioned and worn, but everything was spotless and well looked-after. Even the many pot plants gleamed. Our room and en-suite were generously sized, well equipped and comfortable, everything worked, the breakfast similarly generous and well-cooked, and the staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. We have already recommended it to others and would certainly go back again on another visit.

Very dissapointing experience ,checked in was in a reception /bag store room ,given the wrong code for our room , very basic accomodation, no sheet under the duvet, no milk with the tea and coffee ,tv did not work (although that could have been the handset), no hand towel , ill fitting curtains held up by a doweling pole
all the above would have been more acceptable had we paid 40-50 pounds for the night instead of the 155 we did pay!
given the wrong room code at reception , no hand towel , no sheet under the duvet , no milk for the tea/coffee , ill fitting curtains
Arrived really early (12 ish) and asked reception staff if could store our luggage until check in.
She checked to see if the room was ready and as it was we were allowed to check in and went up to the most amazing sea view. Room 39 has a bay window and deep sumptious chairs to relax in. Being on the top floor i can only say the extensive views out to sea were breath taking.
The beds bouncy with more than enough pillows, crisp high grade cotton sheets, mmmmm nice.
Very clean and and the tea and coffee was very well stocked.
Nice big and very clean bathroom.
The staff were genuinely nice and helpful. Not just as part of the job. For me personally they went above and beyond everything expected and i would 100% recommend this hotel to family and friends. I personally will be returning for further stays.
A very pleasant hotel, particularly the young man who met me on arrival. I was impressed that when the receptionist saw my age (80), she transferred me to a room that could be reached by a lift without me asking. I would happily use this hotel again.
I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on business. Staff were very warm and friendly and knew about the area. The room was comfortable and very quiet. There was a restaurant for breakfast and also a bar.
The hotel looks great and is in a great london location , but on checking in the room had clearly been used for smoking and was very smelly , i was in a rush to go out and so opened the windows and hoped it would clear , on arriving back past midnight the smell was no better to late to change rooms i went to bed on getting up the next day i discovered there was no hot water , i reported to reception they apologised and said there was a problem they offered no compensation . I then contacted the hotel and made them aware of the issues they offered a free breakfast and an upgrade if a stayed with them again but no compensation, i will not risk another £180 on a night in a smelly room with no hot water , i was disappointed they would not offer another night in a decent room with hot water or at least my money back , i would suggest you stay elsewhere as they don't care
