“Black Friday at Ocean Edge”

Our day after Thanksgiving is spent with friends who have a home in Dennis, Cape Cod. In the past, at the end of a wonderful day, we drove home to Weymouth but this year we decided to extend our day trip to include a sleep over. Ocean Edge is one of our favorite destinations on the cape. We have stayed at the Mansion and have rented in the Villages. On black Friday, we enjoyed time with our friends then journeyed to our unit in the Linnell section. We had a lovely queen sized bedroom, bath, and livingroom/kitchen. Perfect for the two of us. In the morning we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast then a lovely walk along the beach by the Mansion. The property is well maintained and a pleasure to experience. Although we didn't eat at the Mansion, we have in the past, enjoying the pub food and environment. If you are planning a trip to cape cod, during any season, Ocean Edge will delight you and your family. Marythetraveler

“Heart of Cape Cod”

Every attention to detail is catered to at the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf club. The staff is friendly and very accomodating. The rooms are clean, private, and alot more than what I expected, but now the bar has been set. Ocean Edge Resort will be the yardstick I measure my next resort by.

Area recommendations

Brewster has alot of attractions, but take the time to drive up to Provincetown and bask in the serenity of being just inches away from Cape Cod sound and the connecting Atlantic Ocean.

“Would go back off season.”

We stayed here in October so got the room for a discounted rate. The grounds and main building were gorgeous. The actual rooms where guests stay were very basic. It was fine for what we paid in October, but not sure it's worth what they charge in the summer time. We went there for the amenities, the pool, golf course, tennis courts and beach. We were pleased with all except for the tennis courts. Turns out guests have to pay $24 per hour to use the tennis courts.

“I have fun every year”

I book this hotel every year during the wellfleet oyster in oct. It is clean and I love the on property pub with the shuttle service. The rooms are well appointed with a full kitchen. The bedding is above average. If you need a p-lace to stay down the cape in oct this is the place

“No where near an Ocean Edge”

Drove up to Mansion after a long drive. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. We were then quickly sent to "the villages" by car which was "Golf Surburbia". We only stayed one night and the room itself was large, comfortable and fully equipped for self catering with a small kitchen. Drove to a lovely Italian resort Agro Dolce for an excellent meal. Stay here if you want to just play golf not for a sightseeing trip like us, especially when you get charged twenty dollars a night resort fee when you don't use the resort!

Dining

The Italian restaurant Agro Dolce is nearly opposite the entrance road to the Villages. It's lovely inside and was easily the best meal we had in USA.

“Gorgeous historical resort!”

As soon as I pulled into this resort, I was impressed. It's absolutely beautiful! This place seems to have a lot of history with the old ornate front desk and pub area. The rooms are very nice, updated, clean, with the feel of a cape cod home. Not much of a view, so we closed the shutters. I was surprised by the huge bathroom, enormous tube, awesome robes, and "crabtree & evelyn" bath products that they gave away. The only thing that I would say was BAD about the hotel is that the indoor pool closed at 8pm. We spent a long day on Nantucket, spent 10 minutes in the pool, and the lifegaurd kicked us out at 8pm. Other than that, it was a great stay. There's a short path that leads you to a private beach and the water. Amazing!

If you're debating on which island to visit (Martha's Vineyard vs Nantucket) - Nantucket was beautiful!

“Not An Oceanside Resort”

Nice resort but very sprawling..be prepared to walk and take a shuttle to all the amenities...nothing at your doorstep.

“beuatiful location on Cape Cod”

Huge, beautiful complex including golf course on both sides of route 6a. Mandatory resort fee of $20 gives access to tennis, beach, health club.etc.

“Decent Hotel - but extra fees on top of high price”

Nice hotel and pretty clean. The walls in the room (1 bedroom villa) could use a fresh coat of paint. The price is a lot higher than other hotels in the area. One top of that there was a $20 resort fee and a $5 charge if the kids wanted to do a project by the pool. For the rate the hotel charges this should be included. The hotel was nice and had plenty to do. Great for kids of all ages. I just don't think you are getting what you pay for once you add it all up..

“Not impressed at all”

I was not satisfied with my hotel stay. The hotel was not worth the money.Firstly, the hotel's name is Ocean Edge, and the rooms available through Expedia were on golf course, not anywhere near the ocean. There were no towels available for two days due to a rain storm. The kitchen was ill equipped, and it was difficult to prepare meals. The property had pools which were in poor repair, with shaky handrails, rough surfaces on stepsand jacuzzi spas unavailable although the guest services book stated that the pool had an accompanying jacuzzi.The discarded filter was near the pool in full view. No reservations were accepted for hotel restaurants, with waiting periods of more than an hour.
