Lovely quiet location. Beautiful barn with pretty garden. Room very private in separate wing and bed very comfortable. Perfect pit stop travelling between Norfolk and Suffolk. Delicious Aga cooked breakfast. A real treat.
Being a family run hotel in a small village we were greeted in a really friendly manner, the food was excellent and the beds really comfortable. All requests to the staff were met with a genuine smile, in fact nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend the Bell Inn to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
We had booked to stay over for one night to attend a family celebration. We were welcomed warmly by John who showed us to a spacious room, fresh and clean with a most welcoming tray ready to make our teas and coffees.
The shower room was clean and spacious with complimentary show gels and shampoo and clean towels.
Later that evening we went downstairs and chatted to John who recommended a local beer, and excellent landlord and host! We chose from a widely varied menu covering choices for all and variations of potatoes vegetables and salads and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed a mixed grill and a mousaka with side salads and potatoes along with a choice of vegetables. Very tasty and piping hot!
The cooked breakfast and cereals the next morning was equally delicious and hot too!
John a font of all knowledge of the area and helped us with simple directions for our visit to Burry St Edmonds on the Saturday and suggested other lovely places along the route to visit!
We said our good byes and hoped we would be able to stay there again on our visit to Suffolk!
I have recently started travelling to Norwich for business, I have now been to Norwich twice and only ever stay at this hotel the night before. The hotel has a fantastic warm and welcoming feel. The bar / restraunt has great character, and the food and beer are equaly as pleasing. I will continue to stay at this hotel anytime I am in the region and would certainly recomend to fellow business travellers as freinds. A real gem of a hotel. Thinking of Premier Inn or Travelodge, don't bother stay here and get the quality and individual service you should always recieve.
peaceful oasis in a busy weekend. A very warm and comfortable welcome. Restored my faith in B & B's. A lovely breakfast in family kitchen with beautifully prepared local food Thank you. we will be back.
