“Getting a bit old”

Very friendly and helpful service, but the hotel is getting a bit old and needs a makeover. We were given an internal room with no external window - which I don't like (it's good to know what the weather is doing outside). Good location next to the main square but in a quiet spot.

“Nice hotel”

Better than expected rooms and beds for Germany. Super friendly staff speaking perfect English. Little far to walk from train station with luggage. I'd stay there again for either business or pleasure.

“Very good chain hotel in excellent location”

This hotel is in an excellent location. Turn right out of the hotel and you're 2 minutes from the Weser River and the Schlachte. Turn left and you're just over 1 minute from the town hall and market square. You're 1 minute away from a tram stop which is a 10 minute ride from the airport. The room was a reasonable size. Bed was very comfortable, arm chair, desk, TV, iron, hairdryer etc. The bathroom was clean and functional. I was on the 4th floor facing the Martinistrasse which is a busy main road. With the windows closed you would never have noticed. What was un-noticeable was the noise of the air conditioning. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs or switch it off (which could be an issue during a heatwave). The TV had a limited selection of German TV channels and a few international channels. A clock radio was also in the room which included a connection for an MP3 player or similar. The tea/coffee facilities were a kettle with a selection of teas, instant coffee and 'Kaffeesahne' Internet costs were very high. Breakfast was very nice. A selection of fruit juices, cereals, museli, fresh fruit salad, cold meats, cheese, cooked items such as bacon, sausages, eggs, hash browns, pancakes etc. A wide selection of breads, rolls, pastries as you'd expect at a German hotel The staff deserve a special mention. Without exception they were friendly, outgoing and helpful.

The whole City was very nice. Good shopping, good restaurants, sights. Realy liked the area known as the "Schnoor".

Getting there

Use flights on a Foreign carrier rather than a Domestic one, as the Foreign carrier's treat you better.

“Friendly Staff-Top Notch Service”

A wonderful experience at the Hilton Bremen as usual! The staff is always so personable, helpful and take special care. The buffet breakfast is fabulous as well!

“WILL STAY IN THE HILTON AGAIN”

I think that it should be made clear to hotel guests that there is a charge to watch BBC World News in the room. We were charged 10 euros!

“Excellent hotel in Bremen”

The Bremen Hilton was a delight! I have never stayed in an Hilton hotel before. I would stay again (so long as the price was right!). Great location (near THE art deco passage;great facilities (swimming pool, gym and even kettle and tea) and excellent breakfasts. I am planning to return with my boyfriend!

Traveller's tip

Eat as much as you can at breakfast - so much choice. Food better than restaurants we tried. Also try the Ratskeller for dinner and drinks. Lovely atmposhere. You must do the tour of the town hall which is very informative. Get tickets from the tourist office.

“Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel, perfekt für einen Kurztrip nach Bremen”

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Man erreicht die Innenstadt und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten leicht zu Fuß. Das Hotel ist sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und sehr zu empfehlen.
