“Fairly cheap, clean, very near trains and trams”

Good: room was clean although small, toilets clean, towels clean, reception helpful enough. Location is 5 minutes walk from the main railway station and trams to all areas. 15 minutes walk from town centre. Free wifi in the lobby and breakfast room. Average: walls rather thin, although there were no noisy guests. Not really enough toilets on floor. Despite being told there was a full breakfast, we were in fact offered rolls, cold meat, cheese and cereal. Plenty of everything though. No kettle, tea or coffee in rooms. Heating seems to be rather weak and I am not sure it would cope with a really cold spell.

“City Hotel Bremen”

Only problem I have as a regular guest is that I keep asking for a no smoking room and they never have one available.

“convinient location, cheap but no non-smoking rooms”

apart from the fact that the hotel had no dedicated non-smoking rooms, it was clean, the shared toilet/shower facilities were good and comfortable the area in which the hotel is located is pretty boring, but convenient owing to it's proximity to the tram and train station.

Getting around

the trams are excellent, cheap and really close to this hotel

“eisig-kaltes Hotelzimmer”

Leider war bei meiner Ankunft um 21:30 Uhr trotz eisiger Kälte das Zimmerfenster (vermutlich den ganzen Tag schon) auf Kipp gewesen und war daher total ausgekühlt. Obwohl ich sofort die Heizung auf volle Stufe gestellt habe, wurde das Zimmer nicht warm, sodass ich total durchgefroren nachts um 1:30 zur Rezeption runtergehen musste, um mir einen Heizlüfter und eine 2. Daunendecke geben zu lassen. Erst dies hat es mir dann ermöglicht, endlich einschlafen zu können. Dies hab ich der Rezeption am nächsten Tag natürlich nochmals mitgeteilt, sodass ich hoffe, dass andere Hotelgäste demnächst nicht mehr frieren müssen...
