“Can't beat it”

great hotel for the motorist. although about 15 minutes outside of city center, there is free parking and the local bus line 24, which stops at the hotel takes you right into downtown! the breakfast room is really tastefully furnished and looks into the garden. Overall very positive experience.

“Excellent for sight seeing- easy transport to the city centre”

We stayed at the hotel to visit the Christmas markets and it was ideal for this. It was by far the cheapest hotel we found and although it was a little outside of the city centre, buses were frequent and stopped right outside the hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we could buy bus tickets from reception. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a getaway!

Area recommendations
We visited the Christmas markets which are definitely to be recommended!
Getting around
Trams from the airport to the city centre only took 10 minutes and then a bus to the hotel took about 15 minutes so this was ideal to explore such a beautiful city.
Must see
We also went to the Beck's beer factory which was a great afternoon out- especially the beer tasting! Very reasonable price and interesting.

“For Bremen I would chose this again.”

“Loved Bremen”

This hotel was a real deal, a very nice place with a nice little restraunt (the snitzel was awesom). The only drawback is that it is in the suburbs. Knowing this, we took a taxi there, but were able to use the local tram/bus for the next 2 days; it stops in front of the hotel every 10 min. The daily tram ride also gave us a good impression of the real city. My only regret is that we should have had the breakfast, it looked great.

Balladins Hotel was in a fine neighborhood of big high-end homes.
Must see
Dont miss the Roland statue. This is a 15 foot tall stone monument to free enterprise. I love the way they integrate their public transportation with the thriving historic district.

“Quiet and friendly hotel”

The hotel is situated in the surroundings of Bremen just 20min away by bus and with bus stops nearby. So it's located in a quiet neighborhood. We reserved it through Expedia and got a good deal without breakfast, but we could have breakfast near the hotel (200mts) and there was also a Lidl supermarket and a McDonalds restaurant. But if one wished it was possible to have breakfast in the hotel as well as other meals as the hotel has a friendly restaurant and also a bar. We had a conference running in one of the hotel's conference rooms and it all went well. The hotel has wireless internet.

Area recommendations
Bremen Dom; Roland; Schnoor quarter and of course; Bremens' musicians.

“Good location, good value.”

I was a little worried this hotel would be difficult to find, but its location right at a main bus stop made it a snap! The staff was friendly and did an excellent job helping me out, even though I was unfamiliar with the language or transit system. I was impressed by the rooms, very neat and orderly, everything you could need. The only downside is other than the restaurant in the hotel, the next nearest bite to eat isn't close enough to walk to.

Traveller's tip
There is an interesting museum in the St. Petri Dom, as well as artefacts and mummies found in the church on display. It is certainly something different!

“Clean and quiet”

Restaurant menu was not in English, thanks to staff who translated this. Room was clean and very quiet. Staying at this hotel was well worth the money.

“Das hotel liegt ein wenig abseits aber gute bus verbindungen”

Das frühstück war nicht so toll auf brötchen warten wenig auswahl an wurst keine salate sehr dünn alles

“Goed gelegen”

Het hotel ligt buiten het centrum, maar voor de deur van het hotel stopt de bus naar de Altstad. Deze rijdt 4-6 keer per uur. Koop een " dagkaart plus" kaart bij de chauffeur voor twee personen. Kost iets van 8 euro voor een hele dag! Onze ervaringen met het hotel: weinig betrokken personeel, maar alles was wel netjes op orde!

Area recommendations
Vanuit het centrum prachtige wandeling gemaakt naar de nieuwe wijk in het oude havengebied. Mooie altstad. Veel winkels
