“Will definately return”
We really enjoyed staying here. Location is ideal, everything is in walking distance and Bray is bigger than you would expect. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and is very clean. The staff at the hotel were very helpful with directions and even printed out a map for us to find Malahide Castle. The leisure facilities are great especially if you have children but take a swimming hat or buy one for 3 euros. The breakfast was very basic, not much choice. We ate out for dinner so no comment. Overall we loved this hotel and would return.
“Royal Bray Hotel”
Very nice hotel, was impressed when arrived. Central to places for sightseeing and plenty of local transport.
“A nice hotel in Bray”
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice pool and good facilities. We think it is good value.
“Royal Hotel bray”
The Executive room was large and comfortable. Bed very comfortable. The bar was also an enjoyable area to have a drink. We didn't use the dining or leisure facilities. The fact the hotel had a car park was a benefit. The Hotel is situated in the centre of the town and was fairly handy for the seafront. position. The Hotel is on the Main Street and was a little noisy during the morning rush hour but didn't spoil our stay.
“Wouldn't go back”
Hotel staff were fine but managerial/supervisory staff in the leisure centre were unhelpfull and unpleasant.
“All things considered, a good place to stay.”
The hotel was undergoing substantive renovations while we were there which detracted from the 'condition' and therefore we scored this aspect lower than it might have deserved otherwise. The service was let down by a member of the staff not being able to present our bill accurately. But, if we are in the same area again and need a hotel we would use it as our first choice.
“Not impressed with cleanlines”
We arrived at the Royal Hotel after travelling for 3 hours. We tried to check in at 4pm but the room was not ready. The receptionist was very polite and apologetic. Evenually we got checked in at about 5.30pm. We arrived at our room and the bathroom was disgusting. It was very obvious that it had not been cleaned. The toilet was filthy and the carpet had not been hovered. I spoke to the receptionist and she advised me that she would send housekeeping up to clean the room. After a short time we came back to our room being told that it was now cleaned. I checked the bathroom and once again the toilet was filthy. Again I spoke to reception. After a while they moved us to a different room. I will never be back to this hotel. It is very run down. It could definately do with facelift.
