“Best in Bratislava”

I've been to B'lava a dozen or so times, and stayed in many different hotels, including the Radisson. This is without doubt the best. Friendly staff, complimentary surprises galore, and an excellent restaurant. (Push the boat out and try the Slovak cabernet sauvignon 'barrique' 2006 - it's a fantastic bottle). Free drinks in the minibar, a computer in the room to save me carrying mine halfway across Europe, breakfast included, and beautiful decoration. What else do you need?! Seriously, this is a wonderful hotel. I'm not surprised it's in the best small luxury hotels in the world list. Stay here.

“Several extra perks”

We had a very nice night at Marrol´s. Super friendly staff that welcomed us with a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate upon arrival. It was quite busy but we took a seat in the sofa in front of the fireplace while waited for our turn. The complimentary mini bar actually contained a bottle of local wine and some nice sweets. Quite small but cosy rooms. The biggest disappointment was that you have to pay extra to get access to the jacuzzi and spa. I think noone uses it which is a shame. Good breakfast and very nice service overall.

“Best Hotel in Bratislava - according to Trip Advisor and us!”

The staff are incredibly helpful and polite. The facilities are spotless. The food and service is excellent. I wish I could think of something to be a bit picky about but it's tough. Oh, yes, the elevator is a bit slow.

“Mr”

Marrol's is a superb boutique hotel that does nearly everything right. It has a top-quality attitude to service that makes guests feel valued and welcome. Breakfasts are among the best we have experienced - complete with bubbly! Standard rooms have a huge (and very comfortable) bed and very high quality TV/satellite system and Bose Wave radio, PLUS a computer in every room (and free broadband if you have your own) and a minibar with free access daily (to a very limited stock!). My only disappointment was with the shower in an otherwise well-fited bathroom - the head was mounted much too low for a 6ft man and the bath shower screen was both too low and too short, resulting in water spraying too easily over the floor. [NB I had asked for a separate shower, but they aren't available (except in single rooms).] My wife also felt that the bath towels were too thin and small. There is a lovely 'summer terrace', in the inner well of the building and a good-looking spa - which is only available for (bookable) private use. Overall, we had a very relaxing break and would recommend the hotel to anyone seeking comfort and a warm welcome.

Area recommendations
The hotel is extremely handy for the 90-minute hydrofoil trip to Vienna (which is recommended) - and, off-season, seniors get a 50% discount! There are a couple of very good (and cheap!) characterful pizza/pasta places in the immediate vicinity, which contains some major university buildings.

“Will be comming back”

The Hotel has great charm. The staff was welcoming, helpful and very polite, even serving us a glass of cool water and some small cookies while we waited for the receptionist to finish checking in another visitor. The room was comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast was wonderful. Everything in the old town portion of Bratislava was within walking distance. We had a great time during our stay and will be returning for another stay at Marrol's. We have already recommended Marrol's to our friends.

“Excellent hotel”

“Excellent "boutique" hotel”

Excellent hotel. Great service from the start. We were going out for our first walk and it had just started to drizzle, the doorman immediately offerred us a hotel umbrella to take with us. Food in restuarant also very good and a some great local wine.

Getting around
most places easy to walk to. Bus out to the castle on the river is quite easy and worth the trip

“Wonderful Marrol's”

I have been to many hotels around the world but Marrol's was by far the best. I cannot thank the staff enough. They were very helpful, considerate and always went the extra mile. The room was cosy and tastefully decorated, like a home from home. It even had a free mini bar stocked every day, WOW. The summer garden on the first floor provided a tranquil spot to chill and the breakfast was delicious. Finally, the hotel was in the perfect spot. 10 mins from the old town and 5 from the Danube where you could catch a boat to Vienna. I would definitely return to Marrol's.

“Just perfect”

Everything in the hotel is just perfected. I took an afternoon off from sightseeing just to enjoy the hotel. I would go back with no hesitation.

Area recommendations
You should not miss visiting the installation "The Passage" in the Bratislava Citey Gallery at the Palffy Palace. It is very exciting.
