“Great Hotel”

The hotel was small but very well appointed. The bedroom was of modern design with several nice additions - kettle, chilled mini bar, extra pillows, choice of lighting, air con, opening window, good size safe, plenty of storage, duvets. It was quiet at night (and during the day). The bathroom was contempory design with excellent shower over the bath. Very nice, though a bit sparse on the toiletries. The food was mainly sushi, not a favourite but there were a few non sushi options. An annoyance was the TV screens in the dining room and breakfast room, usually showing 'Victoria's Secret' - a lot of scantily clad models strutting the catwalk. I did try to change it or switch it off altogether but it soon came back on. Views of Slavia or Bratislava might have been more appropriate. The Jacuzzi on the roof was difficult to reach - only by lift and some rather dangerous metal steps. It was covered over and some of the paving slabs were up. It didn't appear to be in use (December). The indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym in the basement were attractive but have no personal experience of their use. The hotel was about 20 minutes walk from the main centre and 10 minutes from the main bus station (for buses to Vienna). There was not much else of interest near the hotel or interesting places to eat. Would recommend the hotel but not the Christmas Market, which was mainly fast food Bratislavian style and not much else.
