“Great rooms, quiet location”

We were very happy with the hotel. The location is great, as it is only 10 mins walk to the old town but far away enough so that it is very quiet. The rooms are proper apartments, with a large kitchen, lounge, coffee table and big bathroom. Beds are big and comfortable. Breakfast arrived to the room on time every morning and a good selection which we added to by cokking eggs! Rooms were very clean and I would recommend trying the local wine that they put in the room to buy - it is good.

Area recommendations

I would recommend the whole of the old town as it is very small but had some great restaurants - we loved one called Flowers - very modern inside and great food. Also the Italian - cant remember the name but its the only real Italian restaurant - food is delicious as was the wine, and very chatty friendly staff/owners.

When to go

We went in mid March and it was freezing!! I would go in Spring or Autumn when its warmer and a bit busier as it was also not busy at all in March,

“lovely but some minor issues”

A lovely hotel, large apartment style room with cooker, microwave and fridge; table, sofa and large bed. TV, and programmes on it, a little limited compared to other 4/5 star hotels, if you eat in or stay in you might want to have a better set of programmes. Room was immaculate when I arrived but was not thoroughly cleaned every day - waste bin not emptied until second day there. Bed not made for 3 days, I did it myself which was not a problem, but notice to this effect would have meant I could do it before I went out. Reception staff were delightful, very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was continental (in room or in foyer) - good. Disappointed that there was no bar - it's nice to have somewhere to relax after a days walking or an evening out - (especially if TV not too good!) Train to Vienna takes 1 hour and is cheap. Taxi can be ordered to & from airport - efficient and helpful. 10 minute walk from the old part of town - downhill - so a bit harder coming back. Overall a lovely place to stay with just a few minor points at which to cavil.

Area recommendations

Either in or just outside the old city boundaries.

Must see

go to Vienna for a day trip - the contrast is amazing! The castle and the UFO restaurant.

Difficult to get fresh vegetables with evening meal.

“werkbezoek Bratislava”

In verband met werk hebben wij een bezoek gebracht aan Bratislava. Omdat we werk en vrije tijd wilden combineren hebben we een hotel gezocht tegen het centrum van Bratislava. Zeer tevreden met de kamer. Alles was aanwezig, TV, dvd speler, radio cd speler en een redelijk uitgebreide keuken met zelfs een combimagnetron. Zeer goed bed en een leuke kleurrijke inrichting van de kamer. Nette badkamer en een aparte toiletruimte. Ontbijt werd 's morgens op de kamer gebracht. Tot onze verrassing werd tegelijk met het ophalen van de dienbladen de vaat van de vorige dag afgewassen. Een aanrader.
