“Great location, all the basics you need”

We stayed in the Ibis Bratislava for two nights and were pleasantly surprised to find out how close the hotel was to the historic town centre. The hotel itself has a small, nice bar/reception area with a computer for Internet access and various national and international newspapers. Our room was much what you would expect from an Ibis - everything you need (comfortable bed, small bathroom with shower, TV) with no frills, and since we were out and about all day, this was fine for us. The reception staff were helpful and polite - we also asked one of them where we could find some good Slovak food nearby, and her recommendation was excellent :) Overall, we were pleased with our accommodation - basic and comfortable with a good location.

If you want to try the local speciality, bryndzove halusky (dumplings with sheep's cheese and bacon), try the Wolker restaurant on Biela.

“Very well located for the old town”

An spectacular hotel but very well located, clean and comfortable - ideal for our single night stopover.

Area recommendations
The old town is very accessible from the hotel and there are some decent looking restaurants. Breakfast is expensive @ €10 so eat out.
Must see
There are some interesting bronze statues dotted around the old town and "rubberneck" (a man's head and shoulders showing out of a manhole in the ground) is No.1 for tourist photography.

“Good place to stay”

Hotel is located at the edge of city centre and because city is not very large everything is close from here. Room was rather smaller but with everything you would expect. Definitely I would call again.

“Great location, rip off breakfast”

The location is great and the staff very considerate although giving out a key to the luggage room could be a security issue. The Euro 9.50 breakfast is not worth it and would be expensive at half the price.

“Beware the Sunday bells”

Ideally sited hotel for sightseeing and the resturant was very good value for money. Will use it again on future trips to Slovakia.

“Zentrumsnahe mit gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis”

Die absolute Zentrumsnähe gleicht einige Schwächen in Ausstattung und Service aus. Bei Zimmern auf die Straßenseite muss leider mit Quietschen der Straßenbahn, schon in den frühen Morgenstunden, rechnen. Würde Hotel aber jederzeit wieder für eine Kurzaufenthalt nehmen. Vorteil ist auch die eigene, großzügige Tiefgarage (mit gesichertem Zugang) zu einem vertretbaren Mehrpreis.
