“Michalska Brana Hotel - a jewel in this fine city.”

Ideally located in the heart of Bratislava's Old town. Situated in narrow, cobbled street - very peaceful indeed. Warm welcome, and made to feel it was a home-from-home experience. Very clean room, for all of the five days we were there. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast room - excellent, with fine selection of food available - highly recommend ham and eggs (on request). Looking forward to return to this superb hotel. Value for money.

“Excellent”

Excellent. My room was upgraded to a suite. Rooms extremely well equipped, large. Hotel old on the outside; modern inside. Only negative point - the air-conditioning made noises in the bedroom.

“Great hotel, great location”

A great hotel right in the middle of the Old Town! There are some good bars/pubs to choose from within a 5min walking distance from the hotel as are the main tourist attractions. It's up a lovely cobbled stone narrow street which looks un-inviting of a evening, but it felt & seemed very safe. Staff were friendly & helpful, rooms were very modern, clean & tidy. Would definitely stay there again & definitely recommend it to others.

“Superb, cosy hotel”

This is my third stay in Bratislava and the Michalska Brana has been hte most impressive hotel so far. The staff were courteous and the rooms were very comfortable. The only drawback was the limited breakfast range but this is a minimal query as you can easily go to a nearby cafe.

“Lovely little boutique-style hotel in the heart of the city.”

Lovely clean rooms, great bathrooms with powershowers... cool decor, and reasonable priced. Reccommended.

“Best in Bratislava”

This hotel offers a five-star comfort for a three-star price. The location is great, the service is friendly and competent. I'm only afraid the hotel is too small to accommodate all interested travelers -- it should remain the best kept secret in Bratislava!

“Great place, great location”

The Hotel is a 500 year old building in the heart of old town Bratislava, perfect for evening strolls around the cobbled streets. It must have been renovated in the last few years as the intertior is modern and clean. During our stay the staff were really helpful, and the receptionist went out of her way to give us good tips on places to go.

“A gem of a hotel in Bratislava old town”

We arrived at our hotel at 10.30 am to find that our room was not only ready but available for us to use. Breakfast was varied, substantial and of a good quality. The bed was firm and the room was quiet despite being by St Michael's Gate. The staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The only suggestion I would make - if you have room in your luggage bring a travel kettle - because, as is the norm for most mainland European hotels, there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. In conclusion, well worth the stay.
