“Small, but friendly and well located”
The hotel is on a small side street just five minutes away from the main sights. The hotel was recently renovated and the staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a lovely peaceful garden just off the lobby. Our room was quite small, but adequate for the one night we stayed. There is no direct auto access to the hotel, so there was about a 100 meter walk on a cobble-stone street from where the cab dropped us off to the hotel entrance. The breakfast was quite nice.
“A gem of a hotel in Bratislava old town”
We arrived at our hotel at 10.30 am to find that our room was not only ready but available for us to use. Breakfast was varied, substantial and of a good quality. The bed was firm and the room was quiet despite being by St Michael's Gate. The staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The only suggestion I would make - if you have room in your luggage bring a travel kettle - because, as is the norm for most mainland European hotels, there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. In conclusion, well worth the stay.
“Beautiful and convenient”
Stayed here for our last night in Eastern Europe and it was far the best hotel we stayed in. Really helpful staff there 24 hours a day, modern, beautifully-furnished room and lovely bathroom with an enormous shower cubicle. Great toiletries, great beds, great TV, safe, enormous 'fridge (handy in a wine region) and an excellent night's sleep right in the middle of the old town in a quiet but safe street. It genuinely couldn't have been better.
“A reason to go to Bratislava”
Bit difficult to find (not well marked from the main street). However, ideally situated in the cutest part of town and the location on a quite side street creates a nice sense of privacy. Once we arrived, the receptionist was very helpful in informing us of things to do around town. The rooms were very comfortable and attractively decorated (the bathrooms are huge!), and breakfast was a nice surprise. Make sure to order some eggs, in the style you prefer.
“Perfect!”
If you're looking for a boutique-style hotel in an ideal location, then this hotel is for you. We stayed here in April 2010 and loved it. It's clean, ideally located for exploring the city by foot, the breakfast was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the tiny street below (Bastova) which was a real treat. Their attention to detail on this property is impressive, especially given the age of the building. It really is a great hotel. In fact, we think it's one of the best places we've stayed. Highly recommend it.
“Best in Bratislava”
This hotel offers a five-star comfort for a three-star price. The location is great, the service is friendly and competent. I'm only afraid the hotel is too small to accommodate all interested travelers -- it should remain the best kept secret in Bratislava!
“Modern and beautiful”
This was my first booking through Expedia. I was a bit surprised I couldn't shorten my stay for a day and get a refund, so we ended up having to vacate the room a bit earlier than we wanted to because we had told them we were going to leave that day. Other than that the room was gorgeous, the location is perfect and the service was excellent. --Th
“Très bon hôtel”
Situation idéale au coeur du centre ville, hôtel refait récemment et donc très confortable, petit déjeuner pas à la hauteur mais très correct, personnel jeune et aimable.
