“Price just OK for what they offer”
Overall the hotel is just OK, the rooms are not that clean and does not have a t.v. The furniture is very old, the bed sheets had holes and were stained. Even though the staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet was good. Overall if you are looking for a hotel just to spend a night anf don't wan't to pay too much. This one is OK.
“erm,.. they sell €1 beers!”
The big plus is that this hotel is conveniently located in town if you're grabbing the bus or water taxi into Vienna. After a flight and a late arrival, it does the job of keeping the rain off your toes. Other bonuses are hot water, clean bedding and €1 beers. But this hotel is dated and I can't foresee much cash going into it for renovations in the future. Don't stay for anything more than 1 night.
“Spot on Location”
This hotel is well placed in Bratislava. It's a no frills hotel playing on the communist feel. The rooms are very basic but if you are just looking for somewhere to rest your head and not spend a great deal of time in the hotel room then it's fine. The hotel bar is great and very cheap. The hotel staff are helpful. The hotel is most suited to backpackers, stag groups etc.
“Good location”
Aged hotel in good location.
“A really retro experience in Old Town Bratislava.....An Adventure.....”
This hotel is as advertised....a blast form the past..... 1970's Communist era hotel in downtown Bratislava, Slovakia.....The price was right, the location wonderful, the atmosphere...kinda fun...... Breakfast was delicious, 1 Euro beers great and free internet very useful....
“good deal but...”
Old communist-era hotel which definitely needs upgrading, but it's a bargain for the money and is in a great location just outside the Old Town. Buffet breakfasts are huge.Just be prepared for a certain amount of noisy tour groups.
“Great budget hotel”
The hotel is pretty old, the rooms have a strange smell. The bath shower didn't have a hanger, so basically I had only one free hand to clean myself. On the other hand, the breakfast was great (and included in the price), the location was also fantastic and staff was kind. So, considering that you get what you pay, I think this is a pretty decent hotel. Definitely, I would stay there again.
“Good value for Euro-based Bratislava”
The hotel is Soviet-era and needs modernization. But it is fairly central, the staff was quite helpful, and the breakfast buffet was substantial. For the price, this is good value.
“Geat character and location”
Geat character and location, cheap beer, nice staff.
“Does what it says on the tin - and more”
Certainly no complaints. Did what it said on the tin. Hotel is retro but clean. Staff friendly & helpful.Breakfast was tasty. Absolutely no problems. Thankyou
