Great hotel in perfect location beside the Danube

Posted 23-Jul-2015
Pros: Everything concerning interior design. Functionality of room and bathhroom
Cons: VIP areas
Location: Bratislava is a jewel in the Danube. A quiet city, carefully restored, surrounded by overcrowded cities in neighbouring countries.
Excellent service in a very modern hotel. Everything works as should be in a five stars hotel.

Excellent hotel with great views to the Danube

Posted 23-Jul-2015
Pros: A very modern architecture and interior design. Very comfortable rooms, bathrooms and a great television
Cons: Being very new in this moment is in perfect shape
Location: Quiet and modern neighborhood within walking ditance to the attractions of the city. Great location beside the Danube
Bratislava as a city and the Kempinsky are well above our expectations. A great hotel, with new architecture and the best interior designs in a very optimistic atmosphere in a city that is going in a correct way. Bratislava general feeling is of relaxation when compared to their overcrowded neighboors Vienna, Prague and Budapest.

Everything about this hotel screams stay there! Easy walk to all sites and old town. Beautiful hotel, great staff and luxurious rooms. Choose the breakfast option as it is well worth the price. You will not be disappointed staying here

Super Klasse!

Pros: Sehr aufmerksamer Service in allen Bereichen (Rezeption, Concierge, Bar, Frühstück, Spa).
Ideales Hotel um einen Städte-Trip nach Bratislava mit Erholung & Wellness zu kombinieren, denn der Spa-Bereich ist wirklich klasse: groß, sehr sauber, atemberaubender Blick über die Donau.

Went on business, but will be back for pleasure!

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: Facilities, cleanliness, and value for money.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind!
Location: Close to old city, on the banks of the Danube, and the tram right outside your door!
Went on business and picked hotel as "it looked OK". Was extremely surprised at firstly, what a nice place, and secondly, what a great hotel! As somebody lucky enough to have been to some very nice hotels, this is up there with JW Marriott and Crowne Plaza hotels. Staff excellent, food great, room exceptional! While this was for a business trip, I will find a reason to visit for pleasure!

Don't show up hungry unless you are with a group

Posted 03-May-2015
Pros: Two bedroom residence was spacious and well equipped.
Cons: Keep part of the restaurant open at all times for your individual clients
Location: Walking distance to old town 15 minutes
We booked this hotel because the weather called for heavy rain and wind on our arrival date, so we were looking for a self contained 5 star where we could just veg for the day, then eat in at the hotel's restaurant. On check-in at 11:30 AM, we were assured by the check-in clerk that we did not need reservations for the restaurant that night. When we came down at 8:00 PM for dinner, we were informed that the restaurant was closed for a private corporate function. We asked to speak to the manager on duty who gave us lots of apologies and smiles. We were told we should have called ahead to find out the status of the restaurant(?). We were given the option of the limited room service, or umbrellas that the smiling manager offered us to go out in the pouring rain and 40 mph winds to eat in one of the nearby restaurants. No offer for a voucher to eat elsewhere or any other compensation for our inconvenience. The next morning on check-out, we asked to see the manager on duty. It was the same guy. Same excuses. Not even an offer to take care of our 30 euro parking tab as compensation. This was not the Kempinski experience that we have had in other countries. Oh, and one other thing.....our "king" bed was two twins pushed together and had two separate comforters, one for each side. They need to so a better job and either use a real king bed or at least a king comforter.
