“Bratislava's Best!!!”

Loved it!!! Stayed there for 3 nights in November and would definately go back. Rooms were small (it's a boat), but comfortable. The restaurant served excellent Indian food, and it's location couldnt be better for sightseeing. would definately go back next time I am in Bratislava.

“A change from the ordinary”

The idea of a "botel" seemed like a fun twist to a normal hotel, so we booked it. We were so pleased with the great location - along the waterfront walkway with the the castle right above, and waking up to a view of the Danube was so relaxing. The botel itself was elegant, well kept and had helpful staff. A short walk to downtown, and very close to the mall, the Botel Marina completed the trip to charming Bratislava.

“Will stay here again”

I'm a frequent visitor to Bratislava and I decided this trip to go "frugal", choosing to try one of the botels along the main waterfront. The location is good and it is easy to walk to the two main malls along the Danube and the old city. Public transportation is abundant and easily accessible nearby. My room was comfortable, the bathroom a bit of a challenge with a co-located toilet and shower with a curtain. The towels had seen a better day and I will bring a couple of my own next time. The TV was old and small though I never turned it on. My room was not cleaned every day and I easily took care of things myself. Breakfast was included and was basic. Parking is extremely limited in the area and I would not recommended trying to stay at any of the botels while renting a car. The staff was curtious. There is a disco boat docked nearby and a disco operates on the weekends on the botel -- a bit noisy but tolerable (perhaps a summer phenomenon). I did note that many young people and bikers traveling along the Danube stop here -- this type of accomodation is much better than a hostel, for just a few more Euro. Truthfully, in a foreign country, a clean room, private facilities, is all one needs. Overall, given the deal I received through Expedia and the acceptable conditions at Botel Marina and its location, I'm very pleased with my stay. I do not hesitate to recommend Botel Marina for a frugal traveler, noting a bit of preparation and realistic expectations.

“Bratislava Botel Marina Hotel”

This is a permanently moored former small river cruiseship and the staff is very accomodating. This hotel or should I say botel was one of the best deals for the quality in all of central Europe and its location is within five minutes walking distance of all the old town streets, shops, and cafes. You really can't beat it for the price. If you come into Bratislava from the train station I recommend taking a taxi to the Botel Marina.

“Interesting and very pleasant”

Slovakian service seems to me a litte shy and reserved and very good.

“Botel Marina in Bratislava.”

The hotel was very clean, and the staff was helpful. The room was a bit small, but normal by European standards. I was very pleased with my choice to stay there.

“Something different”

I loved staying here. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom and shower were great. I had one of the few double rooms (most are twins) and it was one of the largest rooms on the boat. The facilities are great - there is a computer for guest use at reception and the bar and restaurant were very good. The breakfast food was not quite what I expected (apparently it's normal to eat hot dogs for breakfast in Slovakia), but there was also cereal and cold meats and cheeses so I'm not complaining. The location was excellent; just a few minutes walk from the centre. All in all, I thought it was great value for money, but then I did pay a reduced price through expedia, so maybe if I had paid full price I would have been disappointed.

“Cool Bar Staff”

Something a bit different. Staff were friendly. Good proximity to the Old Town. Only minor issue was that our room wasn't cleaned each day, which we expected from a 4 star hotel.

“Very reasonable for the relatively low cost”

The rooms were a little caramped but that was expected as it was on a boat. however, they were exteremely clean. The breakfast was good and the staff responsive. On the negatyive side the bar was a "night bar" with limited drink selection that was very expensive.

“Nice but small”

The hotel and staff are very good. The only problen was the size of teh rooms - on a boat after all - but some people may need more room.
