When I booked the hotel, I had no idea what to expect. However, I checked in and experienced the the room design and all the designers' amenties that had plus the comforts. I am sure I will stay again at the Albrecht.

The value received was outstanding. Falkensteiner is a business hotel, but we stayed on a weekend and had all the benefits, plus the total attention of the staff.
We walked to old town and when we left, only a 9 Euro ride to the main rail station. Excellent location for us.
First day fridge didnot cool . We put some stuff inside and staff was hot. We told that at reception send somebody to take a look. he did not know how to repair that he told us - not fridge - microwave and he told us maybe now it will be ok. In hotel time stopped at 1970, breakfast is poor and location in only good about this hotel.

"Highly recommended on budget who don't want hostel"
The staff were very helpful and concerned about making my stay pleasant and easy. They rung me the night before I left (so were ringing internationally) to make sure that everything was okay and even offered to pick me up from the airport. I was able to get into my room early thanks to the young man who came and met me near the apartment. He said I could get in now if I didn't mind him cleaning the room around me - I'd just been travelling for 16+ hours and had been awake for 20+ hours so I appreciated being able to get into the apartment as soon as possible.
The room is basic but very comfortable for the price. Shower is good and hot. Everything was very clean. There are basic cooking facilities and a fridge. The is a small supermarket next door which is handy for basics such as shower gel, beer etc. but watch out for the moody staff who seem to hate foreigners (or maybe just me).
Very good for the price - would be great for students or couples on a budget who don't want to stay in dormitories. It's also well within walking distance of the Old Town (about 7 minutes).
Pocket Guide: Bratislava Bratislava Castle - Hrad Hotels
Isolated on a rocky plateau directly above the Danube River, the massive Bratislava Castle dominates the skyline above the Old Town and rewards visitors with expansive views of the city and Austria. Recently renovated and repainted a gleaming white, the castle offers tours, several museums, and a picturesque garden. Be sure to check out the many churches and museums dotting the outlying area.
