Hot in Manitoba

Pros: Staff were awesome. Especially Graham at the front desk who seemed to be there for each of my daily questions.
Cons: Temperature in the room
second time I have stayed there and the room was very hot with no temp control other then to open a window. Every thing else about my experience was great.

Pros: room ws overall in good shape and clean

it was hot in the room upon check in. We could not adjust as the control knob was broken. When checking with the front desk they said it would not do any good anyway the the boiler was on not the air conditioning. They offered a fan which we told them better than nothing. the staff indicate we would have in about a half hour we said that was ok at is was already 10:15 pm. After 2 additiaonal reqeusts we finally got a fan at 12:15 AM. No change was made to our room for night two as it was still hot.

Family fun!

We had a suite room, great set up. A bit dark in the living room. Clean. Pool area was fun--small wading pool for the little ones. Also, the larger pool was not very deep at it's deepest, which made using the waterslide for my 5 year-old much easier and safer. Water was nice and warm. Large hot tub, not too hot. Room service was great, quick, good food. Grocery store directly beside hotel.

The room was nice the maid walked in without knocking at 8am then never came back for the next three days. We booked online so we never got the free breakfast. Its in a perfect area for shopping and Timmies..

Pros: Our son like the pool & water slide.
Cons: All of the above.
Location: Not much to do nearby.
Air conditioner was too cold & couldn't be adj. no movies to rent or watch. No free breakfast.

Eat, but don't stay

Pros: The staff was very nice and the food was fantastic!
Cons: Repair things in a timely manner.
Location: Nothing near by, the restraunt across the parking lot had gone out of business.
We had a 5 night stay, trouble started the second we walked into the room. We had supposedly reserved a 2 Queen Bed Sofa Bed room, however the room was a very tiny two Queen Bed room. The hotel and Brandon were completely booked, so we had no choice but to stay (except our son couldn't join us the second day as we had planned). The front desk claimed they don't give the Suites to Expedia for booking, however I checked with Expedia twice to confirm the room type - between the the Hotel and Expedia, there was misinformation. I booked more than 5 months in advance of our stay. I chose the hotel because it was the only remaining Suite in town and it was a sister hotel to the recommended Victoria Inn. Expedia guests do not receive breakfast tickets. No coffee until 7AM! The room had laminate wood floors which were cold; possibly because it was a pool side room. As a result it was extremely loud until the pool closed. The pictures do not show the room type we had in the older part of the building. The pictures are probably from the new part of the hotel. Repairs: Hot tub never worked during our stay; AC would not stop, so maintenance shoved a piece of cardboard in the vent so it would stop blowing - but it was never repaired; The ceiling in the bathroom was dripping from the shower above...

Disappointed no sliding fun

Overall decent hotel, but waterslide was closed and that was the reason I booked there.

Thank you very much for your review. I understand how disappointing it must have been that our water slide was closed. I do apologize that you were not notified ahead of time. We have now changed our procedure and will be contacting all guests if there is going to be any sort of closure in our pool area and have also put the right people on our maintenance team to ensure that we can avoid closures whenever possible. We hope to see you again so you can have some sliding fun!
