“No view over the Vieux Port”

Everything you would expect from a Radisson, clean comfortable room, efficient services and great breakfast and the hotel is located superbly, overlooking the Vieux Port. Only problem is that our room which was advertised as 'view on the Vieux Port' was instead stuck at the back of the hotel. The room itself had a sign outside it describing it as an executive Vieux Port room.

Its a great location, bed is amazingly, truly comfortable, bit of a shame the english channels are only either BBC World or business specific CNN which over a few days get a bit dull. Staff all very helpful, breakfasts were varied and very yummy - its a fab place to stay with lots of restaurants nearby and a concierge and staff that was only ever great. Even if for one or two rare moments my limited french and their limited english meant we couldn't really meet we could still communicate (i.e. an extra robe)! Shame the bar shut early the night of the champions league match...after struggling back following the metro failure, a drink (non mini bar) would have been nice. Check in and out slightly disappointing as during check in the computer went down and no vouchers for the spa were provided - understandable as it was the night of the Champions League match and they were swamped. But we had to leg it back after the massage to get the voucher to return and pay! Spa seriously fabulous and a must do! Check out they tried to charge us for one of the several breakfasts (all breakfasts were included) and we had to be quite positive it was inclusive. No free newspaper arrived - but honestly these are only tiny quibbles. It was a great and comfortable stay. Again I highly recommend the awesome spa down a few doors down the road. If it hadn't been a cold and windy spell the outdoor pool looked worth a visit too! Yes we are considering other Radisson Blu breaks away!

Ir was a very plwant hotel. I would have appreciated chairs in the smoking areas, but that is not a large quibble.

“Great experience”

Really enjoyed this hotel...the goal of my trip was to get some sun and their pool area was perfect. They also alolowed me to use the pool after I checked out on Sunday and had showers available in the gym area for use. Bed was very comfy - American style bedding with big pillows! Only complaint was that the concierge was not terribly helpful with helping me find options to take a day trip to the Calanques. He didn't even mention I could take a boat tour from the port.

Marseille can be a bit scuzzy. Luckily this hotel doesn't reflect this. The location is perfect as the Old Port is probably the only nice part of Marseille worth considering staying in. It is also just on the back edge of the Old Port so not in the middle of all the hustle. Once inside, the hotel is cool, calm and exceptionally clean. Reception staff are wonderful. The young chap recommended us a wonderful tucked out of the way restaurant, with a beautiful view, that no tourist would ever come across. Not telling you where it is.
