“Fabulous resort in Marseilles”

This hotel is fantastic and the service is exceptional. It's a little out of the way - a short walk to the beaches but about 5Km from the actual city. The bar and restaurant are great but a little expensive (although I suppose this is to be expected). All in all, we'd return and would recommend to anyone.

Area recommendations
I would absolutely recommend a dinner in La Cote du Boeuf located in the heart of Marseilles. The most amazing food and wine served there!! An absolute MUST DO if you visit Marseilles.

“Excellent Hotel with great views”

The Hotel is an easy bus ride from the centre of Marseille and has great views of the sea. The pool side is a lovely area to relax in the sun and the salt water is a great alternative to chlorine. The restaurant is also very good. It is expensive but it seems most of the good restaurants are in the area. I recommend booking a sea view. The room we had was extremely comfortable with a wonderful bed. A lovely 3 day experience.

Vieux Pont is where it happens in Marseille.

“Prices, but very nice stay in Marseilles!”

This is a very nice hotel with good-sized and comfortable rooms, a lovely pool, decent fitness center, nice bar and restaurant with a terrific location just outside of town. It's very luxurious, so you'll pay more, but not outrageous. And, an aquatic center is right next door if you want to learn windsurfing, dinghy sailing, etc.

Must see
Definitely make a day trip to visit Cassis and the Calanques (boat ride from the port in Cassis).

“Bel hôtel de bonne qualité pour le far niente”

Notre chambre était spacieuse et propre ; le mobilier en bon état & la salle de bains grande. Le matelas du lit est assez mou ; on peut enlever le surmatelas si besoin de plus de dureté. Nous avons mangé tous les jours au restaurant qui propose certes une sélection de plats limitée, mais de bonne qualité. Le service était agréable : de l’accueil, au restaurant, à la piscine (où l’on vous installe le parasol). La piscine à l’eau salée est grande et très agréable commençant à 140cm et allant à 225cm. J’ai apprécié la salle de fitness & le jacuzzi ; le massage est de qualité. L’hôtel propose des activités agréables pour les enfants l’après-midi. Il y a un grand parking sécurisé. Il est préférable de prendre une chambre avec balcon car la vue est magnifique. Petites critiques : sol glissant du vestiaire côté piscine ; qualité du repassage un peu moyen. J’aurais aimé : plus d’animation surtout le soir, location bicyclette et bateau, et un accès direct à la mer voire une plage privée. Les prix sont élevés mais pas exorbitants. J’y retournerai avec le plaisir et le recommande.

“entre les plages du prado et de la corniche”

L'hôtel est en bord de mer, ce qui est très agréable pour sa vue. Il est parcontre excentré du coeur de Marseille. L'hôtel est d'un très bon standing, hall, chambre, piscine et restaurant sont de très très bonne qualité. La réception laisse à désirer puisque la chambre proposé n'était pas celle réservée et le service au bar de permettait de faire des commentaires déplacés. A l'inverse le service du restaurant était impeccable. La chambre au final était très propre, calme et spacieuse. Les fournitures de bain étaient limitées.

Area recommendations
Le restaurant de l'hôtel "La Réserve" car la qualité du service, des produits et des plats est superbe. Le coût est au final un très bon rapport qualité/prix.

“à recommander à cette période de l'année, car très calme!!!”

Nous avons passé un bon moment! Seulement le lit est à améliorer, un lit double c'est un lit double et pas deux lits et au milieu de la nuit on a peur de tomber entre les deux?

“Hôtel en bord de mer; vue superbe; calme.”

Malgré une ambiance et un décor un peu froids, cet hôtel nous a permis de passer trois nuits plus qu'agréables à Marseille. La situation est parfaite, à 3 kilomètres du centre; facilement accessible à pied. Bien plus agréable que sur le Vieux Port, qui manque singulièrement de charme et d'authenticité, comme d'ailleurs la ville de Marseille elle-même; sale, bruyante, mal fichue, avec des bagnoles et du béton partout et ses trottoirs couverts de crottes de chiens. Quel contraste avec cet hôtel. La chambre est excellente, spacieuse et d'un haut niveau de confort. Vue imprenable sur le mer. Silence, propreté, luxe et volupté. Le restaurant est cher pour ce que c'est, mais de toute façon Marseille est une ville chère, sans doute faut-il régler sa contribution à la Mafia. Nous sommes mal tombés car les 2 chefs cuisiniers étaient absents, c'est peut-être pourquoi la cuisine laissait nettement à désirer. (Bouillabesse très moyenne, baignant dans une sauce sûrement pas faite maison.) En revanche le petit déjeûner est très bon, et varié. Le personnel du restaurant est efficace et très aimable. Il n'est pas nécessaire d'utiliser le garage; cependant le service de voiturier fonctionne très bien. Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de cet hôtel et le recommandons sans aucune hésitation. Nous avons eu un tarif très intéressant, un peu moins cher sur Expédia qu'ailleurs.

Nous y sommes allés fin décembre. Ce n'est pas le meilleur moment. Un peu de pluie; temperature moyenne de 11/12 degrés.

A pied. Marseille est une ville qui se visite facilement à pied.
Must see
C'était la première fois que je mettais les pieds à Marseille. Je n'y retournerai sûrement pas. Certains musées étaient fermés, c'est sale; le quartier du Panier ne vaut pas vraiment le détour. Quelques monuments intéressants qui évoquent la prériode coloniale. La seule chose à voir absolument: la mer.

Il a fait froid. Nous sommes allés au cinéma. Il y a une salle où l'on passe des films en v.o. Le nom m'échappe.

L'été le coin de l'hôtel doit être agréable.
