Park Plaza is certainly not what you would think.

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Pros: Main lobby, bar and restaurants
Cons: Cleanliness of the rooms and if not the room size, reduce the amount of furniture and describe the room as not able to "sleep 3-4 adults"
Location: Great location and really no need to venture outside with the quality food inside
When you think of staying at the Park Plaza you are certainly under the impression it would be a luxurious experience, judging by the cost and name. The common areas of the hotel are gorgeous. The restaurants are exquisite but the hotel itself is nothing of the same. There were dreadfully long lines to check in while there were three staff members in view discussing something that certainly was more important than the line of 7 waiting to check in. The valet staff passes you a handwritten piece of paper instructing you in order to get the valet you need to take four lefts. They were super nice, but I don't understand why they are not taking the "lefts" and parking your car. The staff seemed busy, which is understandable but after dealing with extra work with the valet, waiting to check in as well was a bit too much. The room was TINY. You could barely open the bathroom door without it hitting the tub, toilet and sink. You can not turn around in the bathroom and certainly can not have any toiletries present so using the hallway is your best bet. The bathroom was dirty which I assume is due to lack of room to maneuver. The bed was hard but made up nicely. The table tops were dirty and weathered. They should probably have coasters to protect their wood, although it was a bit too late. All in all it wasn't disgusting but certainly wasn't what I was expecting. This is more along the lines of a Super 8.

Excellent stay.

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: The rooms are very nice, staff is pleasant and quite helpful and again it's so close to Back Bay shopping and the theater district, restaurant aplenty
Location: The freedom trail , shopping, parks , theaters
We go to Boston probably 5 times a year maybe more and we always stay close to the Boston Common. Well why not the Park Plaza it's close it's right on the Green line for getting around it's perfect. The facility has been refurbished and looks beautiful. It's just a great place to stay.

Great Location

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: Location
Location: Close to a lot of attractions in the City. Walking distance to the Boston Common and Public Garden and to Newbury Street. A hip hotel.
Hotel is at a great location to see the City of Boston. Also close to the subway.

Location and lobby

Posted 26-Jul-2015
The location was perfect and the lobby/bar was so pretty. The bathroom could have been a bit more up to date, but over all I was very satisfied!

Great location, could improve on quality

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff.
Cons: Room quality, furniture and layout, bathroom.
Location: Right on the Arlington T stop, Public Garden/Boston Common, Newbury St., Chinatown, lots of nice restaurants, shopping and the movie theater.
Located on a quiet street close to everything. Can't pick a better spot in downtown. Hotel looks great on the outside but we were disappointed with our very tiny room. The closet and desk were almost abutted together- you barely had room to stand in front of the mirror without hitting the desk. The room was also dimly lit. Shower was poorly designed-- the curtain wasn't long enough to contain the water from the spilling onto the floor. Maid service starts very early (8am?) so be sure to hang your DND sign. But the bed was comfy though and we got a decent night's sleep.

Great location, too expensive for the size room

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Room size, price
Maybe I'm expecting too much but for $300+ a night I expect a room that I can actually move in. The bathroom was UNBELIEVABLY small. Forget closing the door in the middle of the night as your knees will more than likely take a hard hit with the door. And plastic cups???? Terrible!! $48 for valet parking but you have to drive your car to the garage yourself...which was across and down the street! $32 for the breakfast buffet?!?! No thanks! I will not stay here again.

Packed hotel

Posted 25-Jul-2015
First room we went to the tv, outlets didnt work and the fire alarm beeper was going off. After saying theyd be there in 20 mins it took them 2 hrs of us waiting for them to move us. Our second room was alot bigger but near the ac the floor was wet which made the room smell moldy.

Never Again!

Posted 23-Jul-2015
Pros: The doormen were great. Nothing else.
Cons: Everything but the doormen staff
Location: Convenient, but so are 50 other hotels
Hotel had strong funky smell as soon as you entered the lobby, hallways and elevators are not air conditioned (extremely uncomfortable), rooms are a/c'd but by an extremely noisy in-room unit, rooms were tiny (if you weigh more than 170 lbs., you won't fit), showers are only 20" x 42", overpriced, hidden surcharge for "facility charge" which is for the fitness room and the Wi-Fi whether you use it or not, staff at front desk was uncaring, room doors are falling apart. I witnessed a guest falling hard while going through the revolving door, and the staff just stood there doing nothing -- I couldn't believe my eyes. I wouldn't stay here again if it had the last room available in the city!
