Needs work...

Posted 01-Mar-2015
Pros: The 1920s feel
Location: Parking is around the corner and no validation or reimbursement/hotel comp.
I booked this room via Expedia. The site failed to mention the hotel is under considerable renovation. The room was small and very outdated. The door to the room looked like it belonged on a submarine, the paint was peeling from the ceiling and the amenities were minimal.

Good location, but the Hotel is under renovation.

Posted 01-Mar-2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Finish the renovations>>
Location: The hotel is in the center of Boston, Its a great location, after its done renovating.
It was NOT a good experience, the Hotel is undergoing renovations, not renovated. Only one entrance is open, out of four. Its a mess. Expedia should do a better job at asking these questions?? disappointed. The room is very small, and dark.

Unhappy

Posted 27-Feb-2015
We have stayed at the Park Plaza many times and enjoyed our stay. Not this time. We were in a room that the bathroom door would not open from the inside. Also we left our room at 10am and returned at 4pm no house keeping services. We had to ask for clean towels.

The entire ground floor was being renovated when we stayed, which made the air unpleasant and filled with dust. The room also lacked some standard of cleanliness, especially the bathroom that could do with some scrubbing. It's a very old room overall, so don't expect much from this downtown hotel.

No heat

Posted 25-Feb-2015
Horrible experience, no heat in room, checked in late and by time we realized it we were sleeping and the middle of the night. Also room was dirty. Hotel is under construction, which I'm not holding against them but would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Construction site

Hotel should have warned guests about all the construction going on inside and outside. Bath robes were not included. Had to pay for wifi.

Extremely Disappointed

Posted 23-Feb-2015
Pros: Location
Never on the hotel's website did it mention there was a major renovation going on. There was no lobby. The only welcome was noise, dust, confusion, and numerous construction workers and machinery. Because of the construction there was no health facility, restaurant, bar, or room service. Again, that was not mentioned on the website. The bathroom was extremely small and outdated. The walls are paper thin. Our neighbors were up until 3:30 and we could hear every word they said. You would think the hotel would waive the $12.50 wifi fee because of the inconvenience. What a disappointing experience!
