A lare closet rented as a standard room.

Posted 21-May-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: The room
The room was very small, without any redeemning factors; old mismatched furniture; a full size bed labelled as a Queen, small old bathroom. Lobby has been redone but our room appeared to have been the result of cutting a normal room in half.

Nice hotel close to Chinatown and Back Bay

Posted 21-May-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Facilities
Location: Near Chinatown, Back Bay, Boston Commons/Public Garden
Pleasant stay in a bustling area of Boston. Front desk was extremely friendly and catered to my family's needs of 2 doubles instead of a queen.

Restroom in room

Terrible if this hotel is a 4 star establishment I definitely would rate it a 1star. The shower in our room was 2ft long and maybe 1.5 ft wide....old and nasty.... Will not recommend.

The room was more like a closet than a room. TV was on the wrong wall. Fake, plastic one piece tiling in the shower. Substandard by any measure.

Worst hotel I've stayed at in years

Posted 20-May-2015
Cons: Service, room quality, amenities, price, restaurant, everything...
Location: Nice location, but otherwise no reason to stay here.
I travel to Boston regularly, 1-2 times per month. For this latest trip, there was little lead time and I couldn't stay at my usual hotels. I booked a room at the Park Plaza, at a "member rate" of ~$300. Essentially, everything was bad at this place. Check took 15 minutes of waiting in line. The room was old, dirty, and cramped. One wall had a huge faded spot, complete with holes, where a picture had previously been. The room faced a loud street, and since the window had separated from the frame, cold air blew in all night long, along with street noise. Though I had booked a queen-bed room, I received a room with two small doubles. In the morning, after showering in the old and tine bathroom, I went to breakfast. No tables were ready, even though many were empty and had used plates still on them. The hostess said I could wait ten minutes or sit at the bar, but in either case, the kitchen was down and there was only a small buffet. That lousy buffet was $26+tax, by the way. I travel a lot and stay in hotels very often. I haven't had one this bad in many many years.

Centrally located hotel in Back Bay Boston

Posted 20-May-2015
Pros: Location. Comfort
Cons: Bathrooms are small
This is an older hotel with character. Rooms/beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are a bit small. Also, I could have used a little more hot water. Lobby is lively. Location is really good for Back Bay, theater district, Boston common and public gardens, Emerson College. Definitely recommend the restaurant Finale for dessert.

the room was noisy, I couldn't sleep well. I heard every one talking in the hallway. $15 just for having WIFI is abusing.

The hotel is in a great location

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: location
Cons: The bathrooms are small and dated
The location is great and my deluxe king room was a nice size. The bathroom was very small but functional. The new lobby was very nice and has a very active bar area at night.
