Needed to stay close to stanmore tube station and this hotel was perfect only a 5 minute drive away. Hotel was excellent and very comforting and the Italian restaurant was really good.

1 night away for our anniversary

Posted 16-Jun-2014
Pros: Modern, clean, friendly staff and overall great
Cons: Sort out the Italian restaurant
Location: N/A
The hotel, staff, room and atmosphere was fantastic. However, the Italian restaurant was absolutely REVOLTING. The food was inedible, my partner started with dried out garlic bread, i had a chicken ceaser salad that had far too much dressing on it that made it look like it was soup. My partners burger was so over cooked that the burger was dry, my salmon verde was dripping in oil and the Mediterranean vegetables that i ordered were as follows: half of a raw tomato, half of a raw onion, another vegetable that was unrecognisable. All of it was dripping in oil. We complained and agreed to have desert as we really didnt want to order anything else. My partner had the chocolate cake.....all dry and tasteless, my lemon sorbet was fine. An overall disaster not to be repeated. I did ask the manage if the fruit on the eaton mess desert was fresh......guess what? all the fruits are frozen. This completely ruined our anniversary dinner. I have previously eaten in the hotel bar which was absolutely excellent yet our meal in the Italian restaurant was a bad dining experience that has really upset me.

London 4 day/3 night break

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: Good value for money.
Cons: Better lighting in bedrooms
Location: Elstree film studios, all the popular London Attractions. Local station is one and a half miles away for those who do not wish to drive into London.
Wanted to stay close to London but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located on a small quiet commercial estate close to Elstree. Good facilities including pool and gym, variety of eating options incl. pub style food. Buffet style breakfast with wide choices of food. Pleasant and helpful staff. Visited Kensington Palace, Alexandra Palace, Albert Hall, and central London, all within approx 15 miles but very busy traffic when using car into London.

Good location for Central London break

Posted 12-May-2014
Pros: Location. Good quality breakfast. Good leisure facilities.
Used the hotel as a base for a London Break and it was ideal. Didn't have to put up with Central London traffic and, as the hotel is close to Stanmore underground station, we were able to get into the centre of the city with ease.

Excellent hotel.

Lots of free parking, a friendly welcome from the staff, spacious, well equipped room with an amazing power shower. Everything you could want from the breakfast buffet. And I booked a special offer through Expedia at 1/3 of the normal price!

Room and restaurant really good, great facilities! Room wasn't cleaned to a great standard (false finger nails on the floor) and staff were slow and bordering on rude when checking out! Lovely waitress though!

Overnight for work with the kids in tow

Posted 04-Apr-2014
Pros: Modern. Convenient (restaurant/coffee shop/ salon/spa all co-located)
Cons: Consider ways to make it more family-friendly.
Overall the hotel was great, staff friendly, prices reasonable. Also, the buffet breakfast was excellent. Our one complaint was that the pool hours for kids were really limited to day time 9AM to 6:30PM. The pool was one of the main reasons we selected this hotel, and the kids were really disappointed not to be allowed in. We couldn't see how kids could really ever use it if the family was visiting London, or working as in our case. I would have preferred to see the kids hours extended to include early morning and/or evenings until about 9PM.

It was a pleasant trip. They also have Starbucks within the hotel. That was definitely great amongst everything else as well.

Large clean room, fantastik gym

Posted 20-Mar-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Noice reducing roof plates in lobby area, a bit noisy
Location: Well, there was a brand new pharmacy, I did not have the need to go outside, everything is available inside.
I was looping for a hotel outside Londan preferable Bear Warford, difficulté to find, there must have ben some event in Watford, Village Uban Resort Elstree came up, but was described as being out of City centre in a business area, but what the he.. I was only groning to snerp and work. It turned out however that this hotel, wichmann featuren a Starbucks, a pub, a fantastik Gym and also a large swimming pool ( this I did not try), so there was a lot of victors nd life in the area. The room was new, clean and big, tha bathroom...fantastic it had towel heater, a large open shower, big enough for a small party, and th bathroom were delicious. This will in the future be my preferred hotel, whenever I am in the area. De luxe room...? No it was just a standard room, but very de luxe.
