“Comfortable, clean and cheap”

We stayed one night in a family room. We were lucky to have a room at the end of the hall so didn't hear people walking past or doors slamming which is what we generally expect in these sort of hotels. Room was very clean and modern with pod style bathroom of shower, toilet and sink which were also very clean. Room was air conditioned which made a huge difference as the room was quite stuffy with it off. All we wanted was a decent night's sleep as we were just passing through. Room was comfortable and cheap. Definitely recommended.

“Much better than Travelodges I've stayed in.”

I stayed over en route to London as I got a deal through Expedia and the price was excellent for the quality of the room and helpful, polite nature of the staff. The restaurant was as expected for a venue such as this; The food was ok (what choices they were serving) and the restaurant/bar area contemporary and pleasant. We had an en-suite twin room which came with complementary kettle, coffee etc. The shower/toilet was similar to a ferry cabin but perfect for a hot shower. The television was a waste of time as the signal kept disappearing but no big issue. One hour WiFi came free with the room but we didn't make use of this service. WiFi signal was good in the lobby/restaurant and the room. Parking is plentiful even if the hotel car park is full. Residents can get a voucher from reception to stay in the council car park. The shell garage across the road is reasonable for snacks and Costa coffees. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again but only on a deal rate not the advertised rate. The only negative was I found it a little noisy at night but that's more to do with customers than the hotel.

“Comfortable, good value, alternative eating places”

The staff were pleasant, however some of them did not have a very good standard of English. We ate once in the restaurant and it was of an acceptable standard, staff were efficient but poor communication skills. The room 304 was very warm and the air conditioning was not working. The carpet was stained, however the general cleanliness ie the bathroom etc was good. The room was cleaned daily. Overall it was comfortable, free parking in the grounds and also in a pay and desplay at the rear of the hotel, (voucher supplied by hotel on checkin) The hotel location was very good with shops, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Would use this hotel again for value for money, comfort and location.

“Convenient”

The hotel facilities are basic, but clean and comfortable. Decor is pleasant, and the rooms are well designed. Did not like the cupboards, as they did not have doors.

“Comfortable and functional”

I stay here when overnight on business. Only 2 critisms, the first, never seems to be staff around in bar or reception, so you can be left waiting to order food/drink or checking in/out. Service, when you get it is very friendly, I was very impressed with the food for the price- and the presentation of the side salad exceeded expectations for a special offer lasagne and garlic bread for under a tenner. Second critism, I really hate having to pay for WIFI, so instead I stay at the office later and spend less time in the hotel, which is a bit of a pain. Still good value, good nights sleep in a clean hotel very conveniantly located for me.
