“Good Hotel for Business travelers”

“Second Time Back but extremely disappointed!!!!!!!”

Me and my wife stayed at the same hotel 3 and a half years ago under a different management. It was a lovely business hotel and the price was good. We love Bordeaux wines and thought to stay there even though it is a 10 minute drive to the city centre; we had a rental car so it didn't bother us. This time, we travelled with another couple and thought of our great last experience. Wrong! Under different management perhaps, first of all, the hotel had perhaps a 10% or less occupancy, we can easily tell by seeing only a handful of cars in the parking lot; instead of a packed lot as of last time. Upon check-in, we immediately realized they have put us in a different section of the hotel than last time. The room size was about the same but the bathroom's decor was from the 80's. The toilet was right next to the entrance door, separate from the main bath and the carpet was filthy dirty. There were leftover room service plates and glasses sitting right outside of our hotel room, which was not cleaned up yet and we checked in after 7pm that evening. My wife was so upset that it looked so much different from when we stayed 3 years ago that she went down to the front desk and asked for a room change. Even though the hotel was not even 25% full, the front desk clerk simply told us that the on site manager would not do anything for us, because it was difficult for them to upgrade 2 rooms... What kind of service is that? Would NEVER EVER recommend such a hotel! Stay AWAY!Pls!

“Very good hotel, but far from city center.”

The hotel is really great. The room is big and confortable. The problem is that is too far from city center. If you don't have a car, you have to take a bus and after the tramway to reach city center. This will take about 30 to 40 minutes, and at night the buses are very rare.

Area recommendations
I would recomend a hotel in the city center, or at least, near the tramway, because if you depend on buses, you're going to waste a lot of time. Even if you have a car, parking is a little bit hard to find, and also expensive.

“An excellent business hotel”

My husband and I were pleased with our stay Pullman Bordeaux Aqutania. It was only footsteps away from his conference at the Conference Center. We knew it wasn't close to the center of Bordeaux but his conference was more important. We had reserved a lake side executive room but the room did not have a bath tub. Having a bath tub is mandatory for my personal enjoyment of a hotel room and we opted to a lesser quality room to get this feature. What astounds me is the staff did NOT tell us IF we upgraded to a suite (minor cost that we did later), we could have both a shower and bath tub. No matter what, the beds were extremely comfortable in both a lower quality room and the suite that we had later in our five day stay. Overall, the staff was very helpfull. We were disappointed in the hours of the restaurant but were rather pleased with the 'bar food' that we could get when it was not open. For breakfast, we had few options over than hotel. The staff made up for this is their service that was far superior to the evening staff. While the distance to city of Bordeaux is a huge disadvange, we easily found a good underground parking garage that was easy to use. While we prefere to walk to distinations when we travel, it wasn't a huge hassle to park and enjoy the city of Bordeaux. Overall, we would give HIGH ranking to the Pullman's quality of cost effective suites, the staff and the beds.

The city of Bordeaux is walker's paradise with shopping galore.
Traveller's tip
Don't be afraid of driving in Bordeaux. Finding a parking garage is easy to do as is finding your way back to our hotel outside the confines of the city. JUST don't do it during rush hour when it can be highway gridlock

“A recommander pour un séjour à Bordeaux”

Situé au bord du lac, hotel calme, très confortable qui mérite amplement ses 3 étoiles. Personnel très accueillant. Petit djéuner buffet copieux, de qualité servi dans une salle très agréable donnant sur le lac.

“Hôtel Pullman à Bordeaux: vue sur Le Lac”

Rapport qualité-prix: excellent! Chambre spacieuse, propreté exemplaire. Seul bémol: nécessité d'un moyen de transport pour aller au centre de la ville. Merci à Expedia de nous avoir permis de découvrir cet hôtel.

Le Bordelais, le Médoc, le bassin d'Arcachon. C'est très très beau, les gens sont sympathiques et la réputation culinaire n'est plus à qualifier.

“Voiture indispensable”

Hotel très correct avec bonne qualité du service hotelier, breakfast, restaurant mais un peu éloigné du centre de Bordeaux....

“Hôtel Pullman Bordeaux : à recommander”

Hôtel bien situé, face au lac, environnement agréable. Belle décoration contemporaine. Petit déjeuner très copieux et très varié pris dans un cadre agréable (bord de piscine). Séjour très satisfaisant correspondant tout à fait à la description faite sur internet. Hôtel que je n'hésiterai à recommander et dans lequel j'aimerai séjourner à nouveau. Par contre, petite déception sur le repas pris dans le restaurant de l'hôtel.
