“Quality At A Reasonable Price”
The hotel is very functional and well located. Spent 4 nights there in one of their studio room with two other friends. Will definitely book it again if we go to Bordeaux. The studio size and all modcons make it a much more convenient alternative than regular hotel rooms.
“Comfortable with friendly staff”
An affordable apartment, close to a shopping centre which meant we could purchase food to prepare ourselves in the small cooking area of the apartment. About a 10 minute walk, through a good shopping district, to the tourist information office. The staff were friendly and approachable, with excellent English. Laundry facilities meant we could do some much needed washing. We would happily stay here again.
“Nice Aparthotel in the middle of Bordeaux”
We stayed at the Adagio City Aparthotel Bordeaux Gambetta for two nights before heading off for a short road trip to Northern Spain. The hotel is in a modern building on the outskirts of the old part of town and ideally placed for a great range of bars and restaurants. It is also on the route of the Airport Jetbus service which stops in the Place Gambetta a couple of hundred yards from the appartments which is very handy. The studio was pretty well equipped - if a little 'cosy' but suited our needs. The hotel doesn't have a bar, but does have a lovely outdoor terrace and staff are happy to allow guests to bring a bottle of wine and relax Good choice for a couple of nights
“Clean, close and cheap”
Excellent location, very clean, friendly staff and modern facilities. One or two minor complaints, such as limited storage space, but otherwise great.
“Not clean”
Cleaning is an extra charge and since it's an extended stay hotel rooms are not that clean. We found a bedbug on the mattress and they quickly moved us to a different room. We couldn't move to another hotel since our stay was prepaid. Towels were worn out and pillows smelled. Otherwise rooms had kitchenettes and hotel was located near a huge supermarket which was a plus. It was also close to the old town.
“Beautiful hotel, great location, idiotic staff”
Pros: - clean, efficient, modern, beautiful all new hotel - great location, 1 block from the old town and 1 block from the meriadeck shopping ctr - great price & value; quiet. Cons: - Every single request we had from staff was a freaking nightmarish battle. We booked the 3-pple suite for 3. It took me three days and 3 requests to get a 3rd towel. Same goes for a 3rd chair. - Dry-cleaning a shirt took 3 days and no one could tell me that ahead of time. - They charge for room cleaning - but still it took me three days and four requests to have them actually clean the room (for 22 euro, that is). - They overcharged my tax and were unable to take it off the bill. You will have a great time at this hotel - just do not interact with staff.
“Great value centrally located Apartment style hotel”
The hotel is perfectly located in central Bordeaux and perfect if you're travelling with a dog as we were. The room was very spacious and had a well equiped kitchen including a tiny dishwasher. It's located close to the pedestrian shopping area, cathedral and restaurants so there's no need to drive anywhere. There is also a secure underground car park which you access from the side of the hotel. We drove around the block several times before spotting the entrance. Supposedly you're meant to check in first before using the carpark, however there is nowhere to park outside the main entrance as there's a bus lane. I think this point was lost on the receptionist. The carpark has a very low height clearance (approx 2m) and our Land Rover only just made it with millimetres to spare! Overall i'd highly recomend this hotel for an overnighter as we did or as a base to explore Bordeaux city and region.
“Lots of confused trainee staff working the reception desk otherwise great”
if the reception staff had been better so had the overall rating as the hotel has a good location and is great for families but the reception staff were confused, did not try too hard and gave misleading information - when speaking to a reservations manager we were advised this was due to the high number of "stage" or trainees working - not really good enough justification!
“Modern Hotel”
The hotel is very new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They accidentally gave us the wrong room because of a similar last name and the same stay length. When it was determined that it was the wrong room, they let us have it eventhough it was one of their nicest rooms. The room itself was very accommodating with a lounge, rollaway LCD TV, a lot of space, and plenty of other hidden amenities. The staff was very helpful when my wife took ill and needed to stay an extra night (at a cheap rate). The parking was not included, but was an okay rate. Be sure to check in and get the code before attempting to park (there are different sections). The location was great. My only complaint was the AC - although it worked - it didn't get really cool (coulda been operator error though)
“Perfect Family Hotel w/ full kitchen”
This hotel surprised me. I was impressed by the design, the full kitchen, and the hidden beds (one twin pulled out from under our King). It is clearly set-up to be a long term hotel for business travelers, but works perfectly for a family.
