Though Alta Vista is a bit far from all the action i would choose to stay at this hotel if i had to visit again. The service and respect i received is worth it to me. the only flaw was that there was no free WiFi in the room but then again you a probably on vacation so why do you need it? if anything they do have free WiFi in the lobby.
Amenities were great pool, spa, etc they even have a private beach they can take you to.They also Provide transportation to D-mall since they are a bit further and if you stay after 12am(which is when the last shuttle leaves) you can always just the bike services since they are 24 hrs(about 120 php). Now as far as in your room it is very clean and includes everything you would expect a room to include.
Overall i enjoyed my stay and they can expect my business if i ever find my way to Boracay.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Zoe Mei. I must say that the place is a paradise. It's quite, peaceful..so serene that I fall in love to the place. Our three day stay at the hotel was not enough. I felt at home away from home. The staff are very accommodating and helpful to our needs. They greeted as with a smile and attend to our needs with a smile. If I'll visit Boracay again I would definitely choose Zoe Mei again and again.
Room on 4th floor did not have free WIFI as promised due to incompetence of on-site technician. Since this was the most important thing for us, we asked to be moved to cheaper room on second floor which picked up the lobby WIFI, or allow us to move to another hotel. After that they made a thousand false promises to get it fix but the never delivered. At one point the manager came up with a cached Internet site on her cell phone trying to say nothing was wrong...an outright lie. We succumbed to going to the lobby to use the Internet and then that quit working for the last two days of our three day stay. Additionally we verified with the front desk prior to making a local call that we would not be charged, and of course we got the absolutely not from the front desk, but upon checkout we had a charge. The positive things were the location, room cleanliness, good free breakfast, friendliness of staff. The main negative thing is the staff we tell you pleasantly they were going to do something for you, but then they didn't deliver...my guess is because the were not empowered to do so, or they weren't trained properly.
Henann Lagoon was a lovely, relaxing place to stay with my 12 year old daughter. The staff were always pleasant and helpful-giving advice about trips and fares. I liked the location away from the beach because it gave a sense of being part of the town of Boracay while still having quick easy access to the beach-only a 3-5 mintue walk or you can get a shuttle to the sister resort the Regency. It was good to be able to use the Regency beach lounges and to feel your belongings were secure while you were swimming in the beautiful waters of White Beach. Our room overlooking the pool was very comfortable.
The hotel is located perfectly at station 2 with all bars, restaurants, shops etc within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to all categories of people including families.
