“Hotel Rheinlust by the Rhine”

Excellent hotel overlooking the Rhine which was only a few steps away. Really helpful and friendly staff. Superb choice of food at buffet breakfast and their own restaurant in the evening produced again excellent meals. Our rooms were cleaned and kept spotless every day. Very pleased with the hotel and would readily recommend this hotel to anyone.

Area recommendations
Boppard on the middle Rhine is a beautiful area to visit. In the area are many villages of old German style buildings and houses.

“good average hotel for 3 stars”

Good service very helpful staff. Good secure parking for the motorbikes. Food good lots to see in town.

“Nice, but front desk personnel could be a little more personable”

Overall, a pleasant stay. The hotel is ideally situated and you get a great view of the Rhine. The front desk personnel are not very personable but are not unfriendly. The breakfast buffet is good, but you have to chase them down to give you some coffee. We would stay there again.

“A great location with plenty to do and lots of dining possibilites”

The hotel was right on the Rhine. Very clean with a very adequate buffet breakfast included

Traveller's tip
We travelled with a 5-year-old. There is a tourist trolley to tour the city that he liked as well as wonderful parks to play in and a mini-golf course, a chair lift to the high mountain and a ferry to cross the river.

“Typical Rhine Three Star”

Boppard is a central location from which to see the 'Romantic Rhine'. This hotel is well situated right next to the river, near the town square and next to the museum. The accommodation was typical for a three star hotel. However, part of the hotel was in the process of being upgraded. Hotel specific parking is limited - particularly during construction. However, there is plenty of free public parking nearby during the evening hours - unfortunately, this wasn't conveyed very well by the hotel staff. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent. The hotel was not particularly memorable but it provided decent value for money.

“good location, comfortable, but dated”

The hotel manager was clearly friendly, but didn't speak a word of English. The room was comfortable. The whole place feels like it's in need of a renovation, but it is a good price, and a great town.

“Gerne Wieder”

Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar am Rheinufer. Vom Balkon konnten wir den Schiffsverkehr gut beobachten. Den Lärm von der gegenüber verlaufenden Bahnstrecke kann man für ein paar Tage gut ertragen. Das Essen war gut, reichlich und abwechslungsreif. Die tolle Landschaft entschädigt für alles. Das Zimmer geräumig und der Stauraum reicht auch gut für einen Kurzurlaub aus. Wir kommen gerne wieder zum relaxen.

Area recommendations
Empfehlung: nicht nur eine Rheinschiffahrt ist sehr schön, auch ein Tag auf der Mosel per Schiff ist sehr erholsam und schön.

“3 Sterne für die Sauberkeit ohne Luxus”

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegt, die Lage ist perfekt. Allerdings sind die 3 Sterne nur im Hinblick auf die Sauberkeit gerechtfertig, die Zimmer sowie das gesamte Hotel machen eher den Eindruck einer Jugendherberge. Alles eben sehr einfach und funktional. Negativ empfanden wir die Aufteilung des Hotels in das schöne Stammhaus und die hässlichen Gästehäuser. Trotzdem waren die Zimmer sauber, für ein 3 Sterne Hotel vielleicht ein wenig veraltet, aber auf den ersten Blick ok. Das Frühstück war gut, keine Beanstandungen, die Rezeption etwas dürftig aber freundlich. So richtig hat sich für uns niemand interessiert, das hat auch nichts mit Sternen zu tun-Kundenorientierung und Wertschätzung sollten Standard sein, egal welcher Ausstattungslinie das Hotel angehört. Hier eher Fehlanzeige.

“Schönes Hotel für den Urlaub zwischendurch”

Das Hotel Rheinlust bietet mit seiner direkten Lage am Rhein eine schöne und entspannte Aussicht. Die zentrale Lage am Mittelrhein bietet sich für Tagesausflüge in Richtung Nord und Süd an. Koblenz ist z. B. mit dem Auto innerhalb von ca. 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Zimmerausstattung war ok. Es sei hier jedoch anzumerken, dass das in der Anzeige kostenlose W-LAN im vollen Umfang nur von der Hotel-Lobby sowie Hotel-Restaurant aus gennutzt werden kann. Ebenfalls sei erwähnt, das die direkten Parkmöglichkeiten sehr begrenzt sind. Hier kann man sich mit teilweile kostenlose Parkplätzen rund um das Hotel behelfen. Das Fazit ist dennoch positiv und das Hotel definitiv zu empfehlen.

Area recommendations
Koblenz, Mainz, Boppard direkt Koblenz und Mainz sind als Aufflugsziele empfehlenswert, da sie schnell erreichbar sind und eine Vielfalt an kulturellen und unterhaltsamen Touristenzielen bieten. Boppard selbst ist ein kleines, verschlafenes Rheinstädtchen, was mit seiner geringen Größe dennoch eine Vielzahl an Sehenswürdgkeiten bietet. Zudem bietet es eine ausreichende Anzahl an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants.
Getting around
Ein Bus sowie die Mittelhrein-Bahn fahren in umliegende Städte, sowie auch nach Koblenz. Mit dem Auto kommt man allerdings genauso gut überall hin.

“Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, leider aber auch vollkommen veraltet”

Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Rhein ist sehr schön. Leider entspricht die Einfachverglasung im Zimmer nicht unbedingt dem aktuellen Standard, besonders wenn man bedenkt, dass auf der anderen Rheinseite die ganze Nacht Güterzüge fahren. Das Personal am Empfang trug sein Desinteresse an seiner Arbeit und den Gästen demonstrativ zur Schau. Ich musste 2 x nachfragen, wo ich das Gästehaus finde, in dem wir untergebracht waren. Eigentlich schade. Die Lage und die Räumlichkeiten des Hotels würden einen erheblich besseren Komfort ermöglichen, den sicher viele Gäste wie ich gerne mit höheren Preisen honorieren würden.
