Comfortable, convenient, affordable

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Pros: The room set up with a separate seating area and snack area. Allows for a place to relax and talk. Great price for the amenities.
Cons: More hooks in the bathroom for towels.
Location: Hiking, unique shops and restaurants in downtown area. Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock.
We have stayed here over the past 11 years while visiting our son who went to ASU and now works for the university. It is a convenient location to ASU, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the mountains. Rooms have recently been redone - still working on the first floor but the area was contained and didn't hinder our visit at all.

close to downtown Boone, ASU and area attractions

Pros: Amenities--indoor pool, lobby seating area with fireplace, wifi, exercise room, jacuzzi
Location: Shopping, mountains,restaurants, college events
Great place to stay. Continental breakfast goes far beyond the European concept of a continental breakfast!!! Only reason the facilities was listed as pleasing rather than Excellent is b/c of construction on first floor which was sealed off and was not intrusive on guests at all!

Moving my daughter to Appalachian State

Posted 12-Jan-2015
Pros: Large and clean rooms (nonsmoking rooms smelled very clean too.) I enjoyed the continental breakfast and found the staff to be very friendly!!
Cons: i
Location: Close to great restaurants, Appalachian State University and shopping. Easy access to highways!!
I stayed at Comfort Suites while I moved my daughter to college. I was a little disappointed when I pulled up to the hotel and it looked like it was under constuction. But, my disappointment quickly turned to relief as the hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. I loved going back to my cozy room after carrying boxes and found it so relaxing I told my husband I was moving to the Comfort Suites in Boone :)

Another great stay!

Posted 19-Dec-2014
Pros: Location being near the ASU campus
Cons: wallpaper in rooms are starting to peel off the walls
Location: conveniently located to shopping, dining and entertainment
We experienced another great stay at the Comfort Suites Boone. This visit was in honor of our son's graduation from Appalachian State University. We had experienced many visits to the Boone area while he attended college. We were very pleased with our decision for staying our final visit as parents of our college student and also had several members of our family that decided to stay there also since they were in town to help us celebrate the graduation ceremony. The hotel is conveniently located to the university but is also near lots of shopping and entertain.

Affordable, friendly, cozy hotel w/ yummy brkfst!

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Pros: Just about everything! Location, comfortable, awesome breakfast, great service!
Cons: Need to upgrade front door. Most hotels have automatic doors so it was a little inconvenient to hold door open to bring in stuff. Need hot tub too.
Location: Close to many things in Boone.
Chose this hotel b/c of the high ratings online. They definitely met our expectations. The hotel on the outside doesn't look that impressive, but inside it was beautiful. The lobby/sitting area was surprisingly elegant looking. The staff was friendly, accomodating, professional, and took care of our needs respectfully. Our room was very very comfortable and roomy (stayed in the King bed room). The bed was cozy, warm, and my wife and I slept very well (in fact my wife pretty much slept in til we checked out!). The hotel was also very quiet, however it was a slow night when we stayed. The breakfast was fantastic. We had waffles, sausage, eggs, bagels, pastries, cereal, coffee, juice, etc.; tons of great options. Also, the older lady helping there was so sweet. The pool was nice (although not warm as I thought it should be, kinda lukewarm/cool) too but would be perfect with a hot tub or sauna. Overall, we would definitely come back again!

Stormy night.

We arrived at the hotel at 9:00 pm to have a water pipe break on the first floor leaving the hotel with no water for the evening. When awakening in the morning the hotel was under much distress because of no hot water. We left that morning with no shower and not very happy
