“Great City, Great Hotel”

All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location - easy walking to the city centre and to the station for day trips to Ravenna, Forli, Ferrara etc. Bologna's a great city - sightseeing, food, drink, markets, shops and people - it pretty much has it all!

All the central areas are different and interesting.

“Reasonable price for location”

Was pleased with the location and cleanliness. Good price for Bolonga and was located within walking distance of the train station. Easy to find, good neighboorhood and friendly staff.

“The embarrassment to see this hotel and I`m from Bologna ....”

It was very dirty and the staff unpleasant "Rude" at the check in desk area. Only at the time of check in we had a friendly experience but we did not see him any more the other two front desk staff The rooms, my wife's face dropped she was mortified as she walked in, everything was very wore and in need of a serious revamp During our two week stay in Italy this was without a doubt our worst experience.

“Great Location”

Easy walk from the Train Station, Airport Bus stop, and to the major sites in Bologna. Basic accommodation with filling Breakfast Buffet. No English language news channels available on the Hotel cable. Lots of restaurants close by in various price ranges.

“Zanhotel Reginna: you get what you pay for so it's worth it.”

Right in the middle of where you would want to be. Walking distance to a multitude of shops, cafes, bars, and beautiful sights to see. 20 minutes in a cab from the airport, and about 15 minutes to Stadio Renato Dall Ara. It's an excellent location but it's a 3 star hotel, so don't expect wondrous and magical rooms. It is a very solid 3 star hotel though, and all the staff spoke good English, with 2 being practically fluent.

Nightlife
If you want to have a few drinks, a good place to go is Via Zamboni which runs in the student area near the University. If you don't want to miss your English Premiership whilst away ( : picard : ) you can go to Bar Americano on Via Lame to watch it live.
Events and shows
Go to Stadio Renato Dall Ara if it's during the season. An old school stadium with a lot of character. However it only has roof cover on about 25% of the stadium, so if it's raining you will drown. :scared: When I went it was a beautiful sunny day so I was able to take my jacket off even though it was February. :smug:

“Was Comfortable and Good Breakfast”

Enjoyed our stay here, first time in Italy and my husband had a business meeting but we went a few days early to enjoy Italy. Our guidebook said this hotel was very clean and I agree. We had plenty of space for the 2 of us, plenty of mirrors and the bathroom was always stocked with plenty of toiletries. The breakfast had more variety that I had expected for a European breakfast. The staff would make cappuccino and bring it to you or you could have the "american-style" coffee in the breakfast room. Enjoyed it, but the one elevator would take too long to come, we walked to our 3rd floor room mostly. Also, this hotel was close fairly close to the train station and an overall good location.

“Central but not Comfortable”

Although the hotel is central, the rooms were dated and the bathroom has mildew, which could have been dealt with. The room smelled dank when first opening. The air conditioning was woefully inadequate, which offered no respite from a hot day of sightseeing or a restful night of sleep. On the plus, the sheets were clean. The hotel is close to the centre and the train station.

Traveller's tip
Close to the train station (10 minute walk) which services Venice, Florence, Rome and Naples. The centre of Bologna offers fresh fruits, pasta, hams and other Italian goodies. However, shop around the backstreets for bargains on cheese, pasta and wines.
