“Very impressed -”
The Hotel is conveniently placed should you wish to travel for days out - opposite the station. Rooms very bright and airy and quiet. Bologna is not a big city and whilst the hotel is not in the tourist area it is not far to walk to that quarter - circa 15 mins. Staff were very polite and helpful. Great breakfast with a good choice from hot English to cold meats, fruits etc. Do it justice and you will not go hungry. Also conveniently placed for good Trattoria, cafes etc off the Via Independenza. Ask reception for places to eat local - not tourist food and you will get good advice. The hop on hop off tourist bus stops along the street from the hotel - worth the 12 Euros each.
“Convenient and comfortable for overnight stay, opposite train station”
We have used this hotel twice, for brief visits to Bologna, both when travelling on by train, and when collecting a rental car for onward travel. The hotel and its facilities are well designed and well maintained and service is friendly and efficient. Our room was not large but was well appointed and immaculately presented.
“Nice Hotel”
Location is directly across from the train station and an easy walk to the central part of the city. The rooms have a modern decor. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection of foods. The staff was generally friendly (some more than others), but they were all competent. I would stay again.
“UNA Hotel - Bologna: Very Convenient”
This hotel is located across the street from Bologna Centrale which is very convenient when we took a train from Roma Termini. We also took a train to Milan and Modena. The hotel looks small from outside but the interior is very nice and modern. The staff members were helpful. My room was very nice, clean and comfortable. A/C is not a standard in Italian hotels so it's a good thing I went there during my spring break. This is one of the best hotels I stayed at during my stay in Italy.
“Good but not Great.”
The gentleman who checked me in was extremely polite and efficient, but I was offered no help with my bag. My wake-up call came on time, but I wasn't told that my taxi was waiting downstairs...with the meter running for almost 10mins. I had to call to find out. The gentleman who checked me out was not as efficient as the gentleman who checked me in. Despite the fact that I had booked a package deal with Expedia, he didnt check, and asked me "who is going to pay?!" Not too bad, but could be better.
“very good hotel”
i found out that there are a number of uno hotels in italy , would try any of the others the first one was great.
“Can't wait to go back, especially for the breakfast.”
The receptionist (Amendo) is so nice. When I checked in, (10am), the room was not ready, so I went to work and return in the evening. They upgrade me to a huge and a beautiful room with a king size bed. Make sure you have time for breakfast, the pastry are fresh from the oven. I will return in next March 2011. The location is good, close to everything.
“Great modern hotel in Bologna”
This was our last stop after two weeks in Italy and we got the room on Expedia for a great deal. The hotel is modern and very clean. It was also a short 10-15 min walk to the historical area. The service at the hotel was great and they arranged a car for us to pick us up at 4am to take us to airport.
“excellent modern hotel”
excellent modern hotel about 10 min walk to main square. drinks at hotel expensive, but service and staff excellent and couldn't do enough to help.
“Very convenient to Rail Station”
We stayed at the Una Hotel Bologna for a quick business trip. Because we were travelling by train, and without a car, it is within walking distance to the station. The hotel is very modern - chrome, recessed lighting etc. The room was large and the bathroom very spacious. The bed is low, but very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean We has a little difficulty finding an electrical outlet for a CPAP machine, but managed to locate one with assistance. The hotels in Bologna are very expensive. We didn't have a meal, so cannot comment on the restaurant.
