“Best value hotel in town”

Such good value for money. I was in town with a group of others who were staying elsewhere. Two of them ended up moving to this hotel and the rest spent every evening either drinking or eating here.

“Bologna Hotel”

The strongest point of the hotel was the staff. The front desk people were extremely helpful. They printed train schedules and explained the system, called restaurants to make reservations, and were in general, a great source of information about any questions we had. The breakfast restaurant staff coulnd't have been more friendly and helpful, as well as the people who took care of our room. The location across from the train station was good for our visit in that we made several day trips during the week to nearby cities.

“Modern, Elegant and Convenient to train station”

This hotel is clean, modern and very conveniently located across the street from the train station. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I'm still questioning why I decided to visit Bologna (it just didn't do it for me). But if you do visit, whether on business or pleasure, this is a great place to stay. Breakfast was included and was served in a nice and modern dining room with beautiful banquettes. Our room was clean and spacious. I highly recommend staying here.

“Star service!”

We were upgraded to a superb room with TV in the bathroom! The staff were extremely helpful, breakfast was excellent with huge choice on offer, the bed was supremely comfortable as were the specialist pillows.

“Excellent Accommodation in Bologna”

We've travelled around Italy a fair bit and the Excelsior rates as probably one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Charming helpful staff, extremely clean and comfortable room (with all the usual comforts - soundproofed with blackout curtains for a good night's sleep). Nice buffet breakfast! Good location opposite the railway station (not as offputting as some may believe!)and just across the road from the airport bus link.

“Great hotel”

Everything about this hotel was just perfect. Easy to get to from the airport (half an hour on the aerobus), plush enough to impress my boyfriend (it was a surprise for him), spacious and luxurious room (they upgraded us to a junior suite from a deluxe room for free!), friendly staff and a great breakfast. Yes it is a little walk to the town centre but its a nice walk. Did not feel unsafe at night as some reviews have mentioned. It is next to the station so not as nice as the town centre but the hotel is so nice, why does it matter?

“Great Location”

The hotel was in the perfect location. We walked off the train and right over to the hotel. We were only a 10 min walk from the square and could catch a bus from the train station directly to the airport to get our rental car. The rooms were quiet and one of the more modern places we stayed at in Italy.

“Comfortable in Bologna”

The room was large and well appointed. The bed was fantastically comfortable and the service was excellent.
